“I will get back for sure”

I was staying at D'Amsterdam hotel for 4 nights and the hotel service was great - I got injured and the hotel staff helped us. the room everything that you need: clean room nich douche with warm water. good air conditioner, nice balcony with street view mini bar to store some stuff. Free WIFI - available at the room and at the lobby. good breakfast overall I'm happy that I found it by Expedia and I will recommend it for my friends as well.

“Amsterdam”

Our room was tiny and worn (window was loose and rattled in the slightest breeze), but had a functional and predictable shower which is surprisingly hard to find in Europe. There are very steep stairs going up but there is a small elevator if you need it. The breakfast was a bargain compared to going out to eat. Wifi worked well.

“Good value hotel”

It was such a clean and modern room. we loved the room considering the price. also there was lots of restaurants near the hotel.. just need to walk down the street a bit. As we didn't want to stay at the heart of amsterdam center, it provided us a quiet and nice environment. i would highly recommend to anybody who's on a budget while traveling.

Area recommendations
There were lots of restaurants near by, although most of them were for tourist, we did find some good deals like unlimited tapas.. and also it's very easy to take a tram to wherever you want to go.

“Amsterdamm Small but serviceable”

Nice friendly staff. A very small room, even by Amsterdam standards. I come every year for the IBC conference. Not a very good hotel for business travelers, but if you don't require much space, it'll do.

Area recommendations
Museum District, quieter than the areas along the Dam.

“Would definitely go back.”

Public areas are just a bit shabby, but the room was excellent, with a newly renovated bathroom. It faced the garden, which meant that I was completely insulated from city noise. The room didn't have a phone, but the front desk clerk was extremely diligent about taking down messages and delivering them to me. There was also free internal access from a computer by the check-in desk. Amsterdam is an extremely expensive city, and this hotel, with its excellent location and generous breakfast, proved a real find.

Area recommendations
Helmerstraat neighbourhood, close to the Schouwburg and Leidsestraat, but far from the madding crowd.

“would go back”

Hotel was clean and the people running it were great! I m not one to ask for alot and didnt need to. Breakfast every day was good. Access to hotel at all hours was a plus ( I partied like a twenty year old ). Great location to the main square, transportation, park etc. Nice feature was a "lift", stairs are steep and many places dont have. Neighborhood was quiet and safe. I actually canceled a day at another place because this place was so much nicer and quieter.
