Everything was great - loved the fact the original Heiniken brewery was at this site!

We read the reviews before booking and everyone said that the rooms were quite small so we went in knowing what to expect. Honestly we were quite surprised for some reason we got a room in the attic (probably because we booked the cheapest room) but the room had two levels and it was very comfortable. Super clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The main thing was the location, it was literally 5 min walk away from everything. If you just get out of the hotel and start walking in any random direction you will hit a point of interest within 5 mi. Would totally stay there again when we go next time to Amsterdam.

We stayed here one night during our recent vacation to Europe. We've been to Europe many times and know the hotel rooms are much smaller than typical american hotel rooms so we were not disappointed. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the location of the hotel is fantastic. Only a quick walk from central station even with luggage, and it's right behind the Royal Palace in Dam Square. Really the perfect location to get anywhere. We had no problems with noise. Service was also great and they let us check our luggage for the day after checking out. Definitely recommend this hotel!

“GREAT HOTEL..GREAT LOCATION”

The hotel and it's staff were outstanding. Be aware the hotel is old and as such may not have all the "modern features" Amercian travelers may be used to. But you are in Europe not the US. All the attractions of Amsterdam are within an easy walk from the hotel (15 to 20 mins max). Great restaurants in the area and the hotel bar was great for a late evening stop. Can not say enough about this hotel. I would highly recommend it to anyone going to Amsterdam.

“Die Port van Cleve Hotel is great!!”

Dear every one, after a week at Die Port van Cleve Hotel just have to say only good things! great stuff, great room qulity very comfy! dont know hows the breakfast it was expensive, great price throgh EXPEDIA! ask for a room that faces the inside of the hotel, its really quiet but there is no view (didnt matter to me) location is AMAZING!!!! just a few steps from the Dam, every thing was good about it! had a great time, i recommend it to every one who visit Amsterdam!

got a 4 under condition because had no tv in room had just a mount had only tv in living room so could lay down to watch tv after a hard day of parting

“Excellent service and location!”

Our stay at the Die Port was awesome. It was our first visit to Amsterdam but with the friendly staff and excellent location we were able to walk to all the major sites very easily. Cafes and restaurants and shopping are right outside the door. If I were to return I would stay there again and have already recommended the Die Port to all my friends!
