“Excellent Experience”

We paid for the standard room (not the smallest available) and thought the room was just great. Not huge but not at all too small or in anyway uncomfortable. In fact it seemed really quite nice, modern, clean and friendly. Location was superb.

“I would stay there again”

The check in experience was pleasant, the staff spoke English and they were very friendly & helpful. I read reviews prior to selecting this hotel, one person mentioned that the standard rooms are small and the walls are paper thin. I would change the room size from small to "Micro". After 1 minute in the room I requested a larger room, they accommodated me and of course there was an extra charge, well worth the money for the larger room. Wash clothes were not provided, bring your own. I stayed on the 4th floor and was able to pick up wireless unsecured internet, in the main lobby wireless was available and in the lounge there was a total of 3 guest computers, only 2 were working and during peak hours someone was always using them. There is another computer located in the adjoining Eden hotel, same name two different hotels. I ate bread feast there a few times (buffet) and enjoyed it each time, fresh fruit was available. I was an early riser, there is no coffee available in the lobby, if you ask a staff member they will get you a cup of coffee. The lounge was clean and orderly, very relaxing. Aside from the elevator in the main lobby area there is another elevator in the lounge area; find the elevator that is closest to your room. The hotel is in a good location; Rembrandt square is within throwing distance as well as public transportation (If you use the public transportation spend the extra Euros for the 24 hour pass). Overall I was satisfied and would stay there again.

“Great Cultural Experience”

Amsterdam is a very accessible city, with pockets of cultural experiences that make the trip worth while. I was there in the off season and there is still plenty to see and do, museums, historical landmarks and the music hall which offered opera and ballet while I was there. The canal tour is also a good way to see the city from another perspective and get a good look at life on the water. My only disappointment with the city is the way in which they present the red light district and marajuana availability, there is so much more to their culture by way of Van Gough, Rembrandt and their contribution to the world in exploration. I found the people to be very well educated and not overly stressed out.

“Amsterdam Eden Hotel”

Great location. Great price. Block away from public transportation. It was easy to get to major attractions.

“Great hotel for exploring Amsterdam”

This was a great hotel, located right on the Amstel and within walking distance of the floating flower market, canal tours, many museums, tram service and everything. The only issue I had was with the shuttle service, Connexxion, that I paid for separately - they dropped me off at the hotel but I had to travel over to the NH Krasnapolsky (on the Dam Square) to get picked up, they refused to pick me up.

“Best value in amsterdam”

This is a solid 3 star that claims 4 star. We did a lot of online research before selecting this hotel and, after our stay, I could not imagine a better location and value for the money. From the location on the Amstel canal, it is only a short walk to the flea market, flower market, many great restaurants, shopping museums, Red light district and other interesting locations. It is only a 10 to 15 minute leisurely walk to Central Station. The rooms are small by American standards but big enough to walk around the bed as well as having a small sitting area and desk. The bathroom was very modern and efficiently lay out. Wireless internet is complimentary in all rooms. We flew from the US and arrived at 1:00 PM, two hours before checking. After a little begging, the hotel checked us in early. Based on our research, this is the best bargain in Amsterdam

“The room!”

I had a single room, I expected a single bed, but had a double, awesome...the room was small, but very nice, the bed was to die for, so soft and comfortable, i didn't want to get out of it.. It's so true, nice things come in small packages.

“The comfiest bed Ive ever slept in!!”

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a long weekend in August 2007. We were really impressed with the hotel. From the outside, the hotel entrance is nothing special, in fact it looks like the entrance to an underground car park but inside its very spacious, modern and clean. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. We were pleasantly surprised with our room as we werent expecting the little luxuries like air-con or tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was very clean and modern. My only concern would be sharing a room with someone you dont know all that well as the bathroom door is made of frosted glass! The bed (two singles pushed together) was massive and I can honestly say that I have never slept in a comfier bed. We have been to Amsterdam several times now and usually stay at another hotel nearby however on this occasion Best Western Eden was cheaper so we thought wed give it a try. The location is excellent! Its a bit of a trek from Central Station (20-25 mins) but once your there everything is within easy walking distance. As far as I could see there is only one lift which is tiny and takes ages, its quicker to take the stairs, even if you are on the 5th floor! Lift issue aside, I would certainly recommend this hotel.
