Sink = cracked Bathroom = tiny. Went to reception with money in my had to pay for breakfast and was told to come back in 15 minutes… money in my hand may I say again. Blonde receptionist was lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. Was a lovely hotel but so many easy to fix issues. Our window was also broken and wouldn’t fully close.

Eye-wateringly expensive for ‘mean’ experience
Very expensive hotel considering everything felt mean and cheap- single sheet on bed , directly on mattress, thin, mean towels , soap hard to access, no laundry bag, mean portions of tea/ coffee.

Great location, nearby public transportation to city center and train station South to connect to the airport. Plenty shopping, restaurants and cafes next door, nice peaceful balcony.

Staff and installations were great! Only some things that could improve are a shower curtain and fix the elevator that just didn't work when I went to run a marathon and the day after the event it was not easy to climb stairs

The first room that we got, were extremely cold, because the windows didnt propely close. Becasue of the bad condition of the windows, it was very noisy too, from the cars, trams driving by. My daughter somehow lost her sweatpants inside the room? When coming back to the hotel one night, her pants were missing from the room, even though the pants were there, when we left the room, late afternoon, the same day.

Hotel Beethoven not up to their promises
I had booked two rooms. One of the rooms was icy cold, heating not working. Furthermore there was almost no WiFi in the hotel. It always broke off after a few minutes. Their net is not sufficient, very annoying.

When I checked in, the person at reception was not so welcoming. She asked if I already filled up the form, but I was not even sure about which form she is talking about. The good thing was that the line was not long and I got my room fast. The hotel room condition was okay. The sink in the bathroom looked old and was a bit broken. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent and the staff there were friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel was not quite in the central area, neither too far. By walk, it is about 1 hour from Central Station, and by tram, it was about 15-20 minutes ride.

Location and staff were perfect. Ground level of hotel Looks nice and trendy. Rooms and corridor to rooms look very tidy. Sound insulation between rooms and floors is not great. Air is are useless. Hotel elevator takes aaaaaages !!

Situated very close to the tram which was super convenient. The hotel was also close to supermarkets and other stores! I loved the staff here they were so kind to us and went above and beyond

Very creepy hotel. Hard to navigate around. Bathroom really smelled bad. The beds was very uncomfortable. Pillows dirty. Breakfast was bad not kept heated properly. Don’t visit this hotel

There was all night club music going on from across the hotel, even with the window closed, in the middle of summer, we could still hear it. The beds are uncomfortable and the room is humid and plain. I had about 2 hours sleep, I did not like it.

Good stay at Hotel Beethoven
The hotel is situated very good. You can get around anywhere from there. Very friendly and helpful staff. The only 2 things I had a problem with was the slow room cleaning services. Had to wait sometimes till 3:30pm before they cleaned the room. The shower in my room was so small, made me feel claustrophobic .

Our family stay in Amsterdam
The stay was nice. I enjoyed the espresso machine in the room. We were able to walk to just about anywhere including Vondell Park, the museums and the concertbevou. Something all foreigners should know is that there is a city tax charge that you pay when you check out. It's not very much but remember to budget for it. Also, the ride from the Schiphol Airport should not cost more than 50 Euros. Be sure to ask before getting in the cab. Everyone who works at the Beethoven Hotel is very friendly.

Staff were excellent. Convenient to the tram. Just a few minutes to downtown. Building very old but pretty clean. Air conditioning very weak but was ok as not too warm when we were there.

Nice hotel for the price!
Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast buffet not worth the price. Staff was super friendly upon arrival, but the waitstaff was very rude. Great location, literally across the street from the tram! Quiet, even with a street view.

The location was conveniently near the tram stop and close to family. The lobby and restaurant are beautifully remodeled, but the rooms are terribly outdated and dirty with stained walls, carpets and baseboards. The room we were initially in with a double bed was completely sunken in down the middle of the mattress, and we asked to be switched but were unable to until the 3rd night. The room we moved into had a more comfortable bed with 2 twins put together, but still lacked overall cleanliness.

we were there for 4 nights and generally happy. However on first 2 mornings we were awoken about 6am by noise in room above, we were in room 309, by children running about till we arose at 8am. Reported this at reception and our room was changed. This noise also affected my daughter in room 403 adjacent to problem room. Grateful for this action by staff. On our last night in room 220 we were awoken at 5.30am by noise in adjacent room 215 by occupants returning back, loud voices and music which I tolerated for 20 minutes then phoned reception who attended to it. I WAS NOT HAPPY

The hotel is very well situated close to really anywhere In Amsterdam. However the rooms are neglected even the so-called de luxe room has too many shortcomings. Again staff is pleasant room s overlooking the backyards are very quiet indeed. There is a vast array of nice breakfast places in the Beethovenstraat

3 stars? don't be silly. I have stayed in better 1 star hostels in Romania! They cared more about the restaurant downstairs than the hotel. My room was small dingy and disgusting. Tea or coffee stains all over the walls, which didn't really matter because it looked like it hadn't been decorated for the last 20 years. In fact the only part that had been recently painted was the wall opposite the lift in the hallway. The carpets are worn to threads and every surface you touched was grimy, even the handrail going up the stairs to your room. I even had a chair cushion as a pillow, need I say more?? well yes,, no soundproofing, the people above me sounded like they were on a trampoline, you could even here coughing and conversations in the room next to me and I was next to the staff service door slamming every 5 mins. No sleep for the 76 hours I was there, just glad it wasn't a week! shame on you Expedia!!
