Lovely Hotel, Tram link right outside to Central.Posted Dec 3, 2013
This hotel is located far enough from the centre so you don't hear all the noise but 4 stops (less than 10 minutes) on a tram that stops two seconds away from hotel will take you to the centre of Amsterdam. The zoo is basically opposite this hotel, amazing. Couldn't praise the hotel and the staff anymore. 100% would stay here again and again.

Quiet locationPosted Nov 7, 2013
Cons: Pillows- very lumpy!
Stayed in family room on second floor. Good size. Clean en-suite. Didn't have breakfast there- went a few doors down to 'Coffe and Art' each day. Location walking distance to centre.Bit of a trek to museums but not unmanageable- we didn't use the trams at all. Would recommend.

Small room but good enough hotelPosted Oct 3, 2013
Pros: The kind staff
Cons: THe size of the rooms The water stream in the bath could be stronger
Location: The zoo is near by and also great coffee places - Cafe Koosje - GREAT! and Coffee to walk - AMAZING!
Small room that fitted our needs in our 3 nights vacation The area is good, right next to TRAM 9 and 14 which takes you to the city center

An excellent choice for a medium budget visit. Lovely neighbourhood, and the hotel clean and with large (superior) rooms. No complaints for the money at all.

Small hotel, but very nice.Posted Jun 14, 2013
Pros: Very friendly staff... as in the rest of Amsterdam.
Cons: The ground floor seems to be intended for younger people and can be pretty noisy even late at night. This doesn't happen in the upper floors.
Location: Tropen Museum Hop-on Hop-off Canal Tour stop Zoo right in front
We were received on a Monday afternoon by "Lota" (I guess that's how it's spelled) who was super nice and helpful. The rest of the staff was also very nice, however, they didn't explain to us that when you buy museum or hop-on/hop-off tickets from the hotel you have to redeem the *vouchers* they sell you for the actual tickets at the central railway station or the museum admission. In the end, you're better off buying your tickets at the CRS or museum yourself.

clean rooms but few hotel amenities, no parkingPosted Jun 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
For our family of four (2 children under 5), we stayed in one of the larger rooms with 4 twin beds and the room itself was very comfortable and clean. The location is great as it is right across from Artis. The downside is that there is absolutely no parking provision aside from a hotel service (90 euro for 3 days with 10 euro each time you want access to the car) or you can park on the street for 36 euro per 24 hour. Also, the hotel does not provide many services aside from breakfast. But there a couple of coffee shops and many more restaurants nearby. Recommended for when travelling without a vehicle.

Great for central AmsterdamPosted Jun 11, 2013
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: very small rooms and bathroom
Location: Brilliant location opposite the Zoo.
The hotel was absolutely fine, the rooms were very small however they were clean and comfortable. the coffee from the machine in reception was very good. however there was no bar in the hotel which was a bit disappoiinting. the staff were excellent. the young woman on reception was extremely helpful. we found a wallet on our travels about Amsterdam and handed it in at reception, the receptonist called the police but also had the intelligence to look for the owner on facebook, he saw the message and got his wallet back the dame day at the hotel. The hotel is only a five-ten min walk into the best spots in Amsterdam.
