Quiet location, safe area, friendly staffPosted Sep 10, 2014
I stayed at the Hampshire Prinsengracht for 2 nights. I checked in at 6am and my room was already available which was great. There is a safe in the room for personal belongings and although the room is small it is perfect for those who don't plan to stay in the room for any more than a few hours of sleep.

Pleasant hotel close to city centrePosted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: The location was very central and hotel has a lot of character.
Cons: The rooms could use some new furniture and appliances.
Location: There's a bevy of restaurants and shopping locations close by.
I needed a hotel for one night in the heart of Amsterdam and the Hampshire Hotel Prinsengracht did not disappoint. It's a quaint hotel with a lot of character and friendly front desk staff.

Hotel in centre of AmsterdamPosted Jun 30, 2014
Overall the hotel was great. It is located close to the centre so it was feasible to walk everywhere. The facilities were good - our room was relatively large and the hotel has a relaxing garden. We had access to wifi and were able to rent bicycles for a small fee from the hotel. There was a 24 hour concierge, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Small rooms, good locationPosted Jun 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
A bit away from the touristy area, but close enough to walk or bike. Rooms are small, but comfortable and clean. Short walk to Anne Frank museum, short bike ride to central city. Bike rental available and recommended.

Great find!Posted Jun 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was in an excellent location - on a canal on a quiet street, but only blocks away from the action. We had two adjoining rooms in the "garden house" that were perfect for myself, my husband and our two adult children. The hotel was secured at night and the staff was friendly. They were helpful with directions, suggestions, and arranged a van for us to the airport upon our departure. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.
