Schönes Hotel mit gutem KomplettpaketPosted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Zimmerausstattung, WLAN, Badezimmer

Very nice hotel near centrePosted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness and helpful staff. Very modern appearance.
Cons: Beds need to have proper double or king size beds
Location: 20 minutes from Amsterdam Central by tram not much in the local area
Arrived at the hotel at 2:45pm check in is at 3pm. was placed in one room quickly enough then found out was TWO single beds pushed together. So i go back to reception and explained i booked a King size bed. She explained that check in was 3pm and would see if a room with a double bed was cleaned. Was told to wait in the restaurant till after 3pm which was ok even the selection of beer was not great. We were given the new room after 15 minutes. When we went to that room was same problem. Third room was what we settled on which was also two single beds pushed together but with a mattress topper making a double. The room was clean, the fridge didn't work great and TV channels limited. Bathroom was nice but watch out when having a shower as water goes everywhere !! Overall wasn't a bad place as was only 20 minutes from Amsterdam central by tram that stops on the main road. Staff were friendly and helpful very well presented. Would recommend this hotel to those going for a few nights. PS. they charge you a deposit at the start of your stay and a "city tax" at the end both not explained at booking.

Personal sehr freundlich. Zimmer könnten größer und sauberer sein. Für ein langes Wochenende durchaus zu empfehlen

Convenient for the number 9 tram for Central Stat.Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: Convenience to get to places that one might desire to visit.
Cons: Wider selection of dishes in the restaurant.
Location: Rembrandt's House is a must as is the Hermitage. No. 9 tram will take you to Central Station where other trams will take you to places you wish to go.
A warm welcome awaits the visitor at the Hampshire (Manor) Hotel. Meal times are most convenient just as the service is most helpful in the restaurant. I did find it very useful to use the Hotel's computer to access my E-Mails.

Most ridiculous hotel everPosted May 29, 2015
1. Our room looked like an attic room, with very low ceilings and barely any lights in the room. I felt very catastrophic. 2. I understand 2 twin beds are common in Europe, but these were positioned not next to each other but aligned. As in, where my boyfriend's feet were, started the head of my bed. Most romantic situation ever. 3. It says in the hotel guide in the room, that you can find the room service menu in the desk drawer. We couldn't find one so we called the front desk to ask and they replied "Oh, actually I can list you what we have over the phone. We have...Salami pizza and 4 cheese pizza." The end. They were frozen pizzas heated up btw that cost 14 euros. 4. AC control does not work in the room, so we were freezing both nights we were there.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our hotel. With regard to your comments about your room type and our room service I would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused. We indeed have rooms with a twin bed in our hotel. Mostly two beds next to each other. We made one exception in our hotel with beds in front of each other. Please note that the request of a double bed can always be mentioned upon check in. Our Kitchen is open till 10 o clock in the evening. Due to the quality we stand for, we serve a limited selection of items on our night menu. We have a panini, a pizza or a soup on our night menu. I would like to ensure you that your comments in regards to room service and your room type are taken with the utmost respect and solemnity. We will definitely discuss this internally to prevent this experience from happening again. Once again, thank you very much for your comments. We hope to welcome you back in the near future to show that we can do better.

gutes Hotel in ZentrumsnähePosted May 12, 2015
Nettes Personal.

Nice and QuietPosted May 5, 2015
Pros: Location, rooms, staff, breakfast
Location: There is a nice cafe/bar, Kuijper, just down the street. It's also close to the Brouwerij 't IJ which is a brewery in a windmill.
I've been staying here a lot recently for work and it's great. It's just outside the city centre in a more residential area, but it's on the main street so there are plenty of restaurants and bars close by. And it's right on the tram line into the centre and near several others to different parts of the city. The staff are great and the rooms are nice with really tall ceilings. It's nice and quiet so you can get some sleep.
