The neighborhoos combines charm and convenience

Posted Sep 12, 2014
We stayed in an apartment with a balcony, which not only expanded the living space, but offered a welcome respite overlooking quiet gardens. The kitchen was fully equipped and stocked well. Short walking distance to the major museums of the city, and a charming neighborhood of restaurants, caf├ęs and shopping.

Great Apartment

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: clean spacious and individual
Location: close to the main museums, away from the hustle and bustle of the old town but only a 10-15 min Tram ride
This is a great apartment in a good location right by Museumnplein and with a tram stop close by. The apartment was well appointed with everything you need from a home from home and the personal touches such as fresh flowers, biscuits and Prosecco were really thoughtful. Each of the rooms are decorated to different theme, we were in the water room and the attention to detail is amazing. Norman gave as a really thorough brief on Amsterdam as we had not visited the city before, and all of his recommendations were spot on. We would definitely stay here again if we are in Amsterdam

Hemskeerk Suites

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Norman is amazingly friendly and helpful. The apartment was great. It had all the mod cons and was super clean. It was very quiet and within easy walking distance of most attractions. The only thing we missed was an easy chair. Would highly recommend this lovely hotel. Linda

Concertgebouw visit

Posted Feb 24, 2014
I traveled to Amsterdam in order to hear a concert at Concertgebouw. Heemskerk Suites is incredibly convenient to the hall. It also turned out to be a delightful experience. Norman Heemskerk is a knowledgeable and helpful host, the room was fresh, clean and comfortable, and the area of Amsterdam is beautiful. I would recommend this small hotel to anyone.

Fabulous location and sparkling clean

Posted Oct 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
We spent 6 nights in this lovely suite/apartment with a view of the rotunda of Concertgebrouw and across the plaza from the Reijksmuseum. The apartment is also steps away from all the trams and is in the glorious museum district. Staff was very helpful and the apartment was sparkling clean with nice kitchen equipment and a very comfortable bed. The bath was beautifully tiled and spacious - a luxury in Amsterdam where space is at a premium.

Excellent apartment in great location

Posted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: Everything! Location, decor, welcome, atmosphere.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Very close to Conert Gebouw, museum plein and Vondelpark Park. Short walk to West canal ring, nine streets shopping area (fantastic).
We absoultely loved this apartment - 2 adults and 2 children, located just behind Concert gebouw and in a really chilled out part of Amsterdam . It was really easy to get here on the bus from Schipol and bus and tram lines are 1 min walk away. Great welcome from Thom and free Prosecco and Stroop waffle plus great intro into best places to visit during our stay. Really close to the open space of Museumplein, Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum plus adorable Cafe Welling across the road. Felt like we were in the real Amsterdam. Loved it and will definitely stay again.

Pros: Central and clean.
Cons: Not much but may be a small fan in case of hot days would be perfect but otherwise everything was great.
It was a true home away from home. Norman and Thom made our stay very easy and comfortable.

Great Flat, not just a hotel, fantastic

Posted Apr 2, 2013
Pros: The decor
Cons: Nothing really
Location: Location great for museums and theatre, 15 mins to Dam sq on tram.
Norman was fantastic, we were delayed, not a problem in to the evening, still sat with us and explained a little about Amsterdam, told us places to go and not where to go. Room with separate bedroom and bathroom, kitchen well equipped and all superbly decorated to the highest order, even down to some nice homemade lamps

Great place to stay if you want more flexibility for cooking your own meals and need more space to work for example. Well refurbished and comfortable and has everything you would need to cook.
