Excellent meal at the restaurant

Lovely location canal-side. Room a bit small but fine for one person. Delicious meal and great service at the restaurant. Free parking and free wireless. Would definitely return.

A modernized hotel..

Posted Sep 7, 2013
Pros: Its style, location and staff.
Cons: Not a thing.
Location: Uithroon is a truly Dutch town in the Tulip region. A couple of Unesco fort sites nearby. River walks, kayak rental available west of the hotel.
with a traditional "Commercial Traveler Hotel" feel. Excellent restaurant. My room was very comfortable, though TV viewers will need binoculars. Free WiFi - no extras. The only thing people need to be aware of that access to and from Schipol is a 40+ Euro taxi ride each way, which is great if you want a quiet Dutch location. Uithroon is a neat place to pass some relaxing, non-touristy, R & R.

Quiet hotel in the outskirts of Amsterdam

Posted Sep 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was a pleasant location in an area with pastures and cows. The restaurant at the hotel was wonderful and had a lovely deck where we had wine and watched the activity on the Amstel River. Town had nice shops but closed early on the Saturday evening we were in town.

Lovely hotel and community

Very nice hotel and restaurant. Staff were a little amateurish, e.g., misinforming the taxi service of where I was going as well as about local bus service.. We stayed there because it was close to the flower auction in Aalsmeer. Lovely setting on the Amstel river, including for drinks and dinner.

Great hotel well located for the Airport

Posted Jul 30, 2012
Pros: Friendliness location and food
Cons: Boutique decor in bedroom suffered from design over function in some aspects
Location: By the river with excellent terrace for dining
A friendly comfortable boutique style hotel situated on the banks of the river Amstel. Don't be put off by the approach road to the hotel which seems to go round the back of a shopping centre but in fact leads to a very pretty and quiet location. Staff were very welcoming and the room was modern and well appointed. Food was great and being only 20 mins from Schiphol airport makes a very superior option to a standard airport hotel.
