“Great, but a bit off the beaten track”

Our large triple room had been recently renovated and was spotless. Despite the proximity to Schipol, we did not hear the planes overhead while in our room. Aalsmeer is a bit off the beaten track unless you are in Holland for the flower auction. Although the htel offers shuttle service, I'd recommend having a car.

“Very nice hotel”

The Hotel receptionist was very friendly and helpful and I checked in very quickly and had all the details I needed. The room was very nice, lots of space, nicely decorated, very comfortable. The hotel is in a suburban area so it was nice and quiet of a night. The hotel restaurant was also very nice, good food, very good service, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

“A quiet retreat at the end of the day”

The Hotel Chariot was delightful! Located about 15 minutes from the airport, and a half-hour bus ride from downtown Amsterdam I enjoyed returning to a peaceful, quaint little place after walking around the city all day. The bus stop is only a couple blocks from the hotel, so very convenient. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent. Travelers Checks are not cashed at the front desk however, and there was some confusion even when using them at check-out. The staff was friendly and helpful, including the shuttle bus driver! I'd stay there again! Oh - and there's a nice little eetcafe right across the street too.

“Great hotel!!”

Even though we only stayed at this hotel for a quick overnight layover it was such a great place. The reception was extremely nice and helpful. Very impressed and highly recommended.

“I recommend”

A lovely building with clean spacious rooms. Service was really good. Bear in mind there is no hotel bar or restaraunt but right next door is a fab place called 'The Beach' which was a perfect place to eat and drink. Make sure you account for travel into amsterdam. You need to get the hotel shuttle to the airport and get the train direct into Amsterdam Central.

“Great hotel to escape from the city”

The room I stayed in was comfortable and exceptionally clean. The hotel is situated in a suburban setting, offering some quite and relaxation from a full day in Amsterdam. If you plan on going to the city center, getting there without your own transportation or without taking a taxi can be a bit of a hassle. The hotel offers a shuttle, but it takes you on a 15 minute ride to the airport (the opposite direction), from which point you then have to take a another 15 minute train ride into Amsterdam. Definitely the cheapest way to get there, though (I paid 55 euro to park for the day!). If the distance isn't a problem, I would recommend a stay at Hotel Chariot.

“Beautiful Hotel, close to the Airport”

This was a very nice hotel. We had the suite because we were travelling with small children. Everything was very spacious and the decor was very modern but comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer. We chose this hotel for it's location. We were coming from Antwerp and we didn't want to brave the morning traffic to get to Schipol on time. So we stayed the night before our flight here. It's only about 10 min. from the airport. Would definitely stay there next time, and maybe for a few days longer to check out the near by towns.

“Convenient overnight between flights with kids”

We had a 14 hour layover between a flight from Italy and one to the US. We were traveling with 2 small children aged 3 and 3 months. It was very difficult to find a hotel near Schiphol that allowed more than one child in the room without charging an exorbitant amount. Someone on Tripadvisor suggested Hotel Chariot in Aalsmeer and so I booked it. It was perfect. When we got to the shuttle bus stop we called the hotel and the bus was already on its way there. There were a bunch of people waiting, so we barely fit. It was only a 15-minute drive to the hotel. The staff was very friendly. The room was great! Very modern and clean. There was a sofa sleeper that was already made up for our 3-year old, and a baby crib. And the bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom. The bed was very comfortable. Our only downside was that we forgot to turn the AC down so it was quite warm with the comforter. We had dinner at the restaurant next door which was also great. The next morning at 7am we took the shuttle back to Schiphol and arrived with plenty of time to spare. The only criticism I have is that they advertise the free shuttle bus, but it's only free from the airport to the hotel. The other direction you pay 16 euros per room.
