“Will definitely recommend this hotel”
We had a family room for 4. After reading some of the other reviews before we stayed we were feeling a little bit apprehensive about what we were letting ourselves in for but we were absolutely delighted with everything. The hotel was ideally placed for any sightseeing "on foot" around Amsterdam. It was next door to the Vondel Park and just round the corner from all the museums, it was on the same street as all the "designer" shops (e.g. Chanel, Gucci). The hotel itself was an established hotel and not a shiny new hotel but it was clean and provided everything you could want. Our room was nicely furnished and spacious with an "en suite" shower room with toilet and hair dryer. The towels were changed every day. The beds were made every day and there was a television and kettle etc. The dining room downstairs was nicely furnished and very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a buffet "Continental breakfast" and you could eat and drink as much as you wanted. There were all kinds of bread and rolls, scrambled egg, boiled egg, cheese and various meats, melon, salad, cereal, yoghurt, orange juice, apple juice, milk, chocolate milk, tea, coffee and then the usual continental breakfast things. The dining room staff were very kind and helpful. The reception staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. What more could you want?
I think that if people want a good base for a sight seeing holiday then this is a very good place.
