Hotel by the canal.

Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Hotel Estherea is a beautiful little jewel of a hotel, full of colour and sparkle.
Cons: Although we were happy to eat out some people may prefer to be able to have dinner at the hotel. Food was brought in from a neighbouring establishment
Location: Hotel Estherea is within walking distance of most of the iconic sights of Amsterdam and also of many excellent restaurants and cafes.
We enjoyed a few days break in Amsterdam, staying at Hotel Estherea, a small hotel by one of the canals.

Great hotel

This is a fantastic hotel in a nice quiet location. It offers the best breakfast you will find anywhere. Also a wonderful fish tank in the lobby area you cannot miss. It is not cheap but worth a stay here you will be delighted.

Good choice!

Pros: Amenities were more than expected.
This hotel was close to the city center but just away from the crowds. Very luxurious hotel, friendly staff. Treated us as valued clientele. Would definitely stay here again.

Wanted to move right in and never leave.

Pros: The jetted tub, service, cookies and candy, lobby staff, big fluffy bed. Rooms are small, but fine.
Cons: Not much you can do about street noise, but would requests a different location next time booking.
Location: Loved just walking around, easy access to museums, shops and restaurants. The hotel does have bikes to rent as well.
This was one of my favorite places to stay EVER. I cannot say enough about the top notch service and the attention to the smallest of detail. The location could not have been better. I loved the restaurant, crystal room, library, and even the gym. (might have benefited hanging out in that room more...) Oh, did I mention the beds? Like heaven. The only small downside was we had a street view on a Sat night and it was pretty loud till about 1:00 AM. My biggest surprise was having a jetted tub, but not all rooms do, so ask for one of those when making a reservation. The front desk staff were all amazing and so helpful. Loved the coffee/tea cookie service free all day and night. We loved coming in late and having cookies in the family room. I would go to Amsterdam again just so I could stay at this Hotel.

Charming European feel!

Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Central location overlooking a canal, friendly staff, eclectic-fun decor, comfortable beds and quiet rooms.
Cons: The rooms are a little on the small side, only a few have views.
Location: Several great restaurants and shopping within a short walk. Around a 15 minute walk to the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseums.
Great location- central and close to everything! Easy walk to restaurants and museums, train station is a short cab ride or a bit longer walk. The hotel was charming, quiet and comfortable, great breakfast buffet and the staff was helpful and friendly. Book museum tickets through the front desk staff for shorter lines. The room was on the smallish side, but clean, comfortable and well appointed.

So cute!!!

Loved this hotel. Very big and spaciousness room. Rooms are cute. Our suite had heated bathroom floors. I've heard other rooms are even cuter. In a perfect location near everything for walking. Taxi to airport is a fixed 44€. Would stay here again worth the higher cost.
