“Excellent city break hotel”

Overall the hotel as excellent. Everything you might like to see in Amsterdam was within walking distance. The staff were helpful and understanding (i.e. messed up room safe so could not get in and also left room several hours after cheack out time..... I never knew Holland had daylight savings too!) Last comment. Ok Ok the room was small, all rooms are small in central Amsterdam, but listen up! the hotel was excellently situated, the staff friendly, beds comfie and the sites on your doorstep. If you would like to experience Amsterdam like I did; that being from wake up til head down then this is the hotel for you. Enjoy.

“good deal”

Hotel is a five minute walk to nice going out areas. There is a tram stop visible from the hotel. Ask for a room away from the street, near a busy intersection. There is nothing fancy about the room, quite small, but didn't expect more than that. The garden in the back of the hotel is wonderful. Staff was friendly.

“nice place”

What a nice place. Its a little out of the way but not by much considering Amsterdam is not that big and every thing is easily accessible. the staff was so accomodating and so nice. the rooms are pretty big by euripean standards. The location is very quiet and walking distance to van gogh museum. Everything you need is close by including internet cafe and coffee houses.Dog owners this is a great place to bring your pooch.

“Would go back”

The hotel was well situated, and tram stop to take you into centre just round the corner. Rooms were clean, but found the single to be on the small side. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would certainly go back, in fact planning to do so later in the year.

“Nice room for 3”

From the reviews of this hotel it looks like people either hate it or love it. Its location is near the tram and the museaums and lots of shops. Our room was very clean and big. Room was on the road, which may be a problem if you are a light sleeper, but no prob for us. THere are rooms away from the road that they may have available if you ask. Really nice courtyard out the back (not for coffee-shop purchases). Definately no complaints if you can get this for a good price

“Not a bad hotel.”

Overall it wasn't a bad hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms. Very helpful staff and a nice breakfast. Maybe a little overpriced, but I guess most of Amsterdam is. Close to the museums. A bit far from central of the city for walking, but a quarter block from a tram that will quickly get you there. Grocery store nearby.

Good location near the trams and attractions but very limited room amenities compared to American hotels (i.e. no working tv, no top sheet on beds, no tissues, etc.). It was clean and if you have the right expectations (not high ones), it could be an acceptable place to stay.

“Basic but comfortable - would stay here again”

Good location for Leidseplein (dining and entertainment), Casino and Tram routes. Nice biergarden in rear.

“Good All Arounder & Well Placed”

While quite a basic room, it was good value for the traveller more interested in spending time out of the hotel. Hotel equipped with bar and outside area to relax and drink in, so this was a plus. The hotel is well placed and it is an easy walk to the key tourist areas. Also, hotel staff were helpful. All-in-all a reasonable place to stay.
