Couldn't even get a drink in the hotel because the vending machine was empty. Wouldn't recommend or return

Easy to get into central Amsterdam

Posted Jan 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
There is not much around the Hotel to go and eat, but easy to catch the ferry into Central Station. Rooms not overwhelming but okay for a few nights stay.

Close to the free ferry

Only good thing really was the price and that it was close to the free ferry into central amsterdam. Bed was very hard and the pillows lumpy. Room was clean however.

Pros: The staff
Cons: Stop the smell from the back door next to room 44
Location: Hotel is well located from the bustling and madness of the city centre. Not far from the ferry.
Apart from my first two days without wifi experience was generally ok

Good value, good location

Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Was only a 5 min was to the free ferrie across the river. Room was a great size for the two of us and clean. The shower floor leaked, but didn't effect our stay. Very good hotel for the price, would definitely reccommend to others and would return on out next trip!!!

Great for backpackers but not for vacationers

Posted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: the staff was very helpful!
Cons: brighter lights, window that could be opened easily, hooks for clothes
Location: eye film institute is somewhat near. its a bit of a walk --- about 15 minutes. there were a couple of hippie communities on the way to the eye film
the room was small with no a/c... small bathroom, small sink, dim lights, no elevator, questionable area (heard loud people at 2am)... but its probably good enough for backpackers looking for a little more privacy as compared to regular hostels....

Good stay

Posted Jun 23, 2013
Pros: Room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Pot luck Parking.
Location: Good connexions to the town centre. Being on the north side of the river relatively easy to find and to drive to.
It's a nice hotel. The room was slightly small, just enough room for a suitcase, the furniture and the bed. The parking is on street a few hundred metres away and is used by local residents as well. Although it's on the north side of the river there are two ferries that run very often to the central station and are free. The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke good English. The room was clean and comfortable.

Average hotel, good for 1-2 nights

Posted Mar 26, 2013
(+)Good location and transport (free of charge) to the City (Train Station). Staff very helpful and kind. (-) Rooms a bit too small and too basic. Poor heating inside the room. Good hotel for up to 2 nights..not for more. Adam

Fist off, my size 13 shoe literally has more room to sleep in than this hotel room. Coach class on Ryanair has more room. My closet's closet has more room. I had to check my phone at the front desk, cause it wouldn't fit in my room. I didn't even have enough room to change my mind. So I stayed here. But seriously, the toilet is in a closet. The shower is in another closet. You have to leave to bi folding doors open when you sit on the toilet. It's more comfortable to go in the shower. This is the smallest, most uncomfortable hotel room I've ever stayed in. I'm not even going to get into the construction that started at 9 a.m. on the neighboring room. When you're in Amsterdam, you don't want to be awaken at nine in the morning. Don't stay here.
