“Convenient location and reasonable price”

The best thing about this hotel was the location - a couple of blocks from the Leidseplein, which puts you in easy walking distance to public transportation as well as great nightlife. My room was very clean although typically small; the shared bathroom was a bit more run down, but still clean. One surprise was that the hotel did not accept credit cards, so make sure you have cash when you check in.

“Good hotel for singles”

It is a nice hotel, not far from dam square(heart of Amsterdam), just 20 mins walk. You can spend the nights comfortably and quietly.

“Cheap Hotel - but not worth it.”

CASH ONLY HOTEL - No Phones in Rooms - No Fans - Windows don't open. The hotel is in a good location on the Southwest side of the city. The rooms are inexpensive but the manager/owner is not familiar with customer service. He was constantly annoyed at the guests and makes you feel like you are Inconveniencing him by being there. One night I brought dinner back to my room and he stopped me on the street before i got to the hotel door and warned me not to make a mess in the room. Giving me a crazy stare the whole time. The rooms have no soundproofing so you can hear people talking throughout the night. The shared bathroom was DISGUSTING. From no toilet paper, the toilet leaking on the floor after flushing, to the multi-colored slime on the shower floor and walls. I felt filthy after showering there. The house service does not understand what the door tag "Do Not Disturb" means. 3 mornings in a row the guy pounded on my door and tried to open it while i'm in bed at 8am. Each time i had to tell him i don't need the room serviced. I thought that was what the BIG RED TAG on the door handle was for !! The breakfast was equally disappointing. The funky smelling sliced meat and dried out cheese will quickly kill your appetite. You're better off buying something more sanitary from a street vendor. Bottom line - It's cheap, decent location, and is a small step above a Hostel. - I would pay extra next time to stay somewhere else.
