Stylish hotel but with a few functional issues

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: Location to canals, dinning, sat. market, transport
Cons: The bathroom door didn't close properly, the shower door leaked and the fridge did not work.
Stylish decoration, very clean and comfortable. Close to tram line and metro. In a good location near canals, restaurants etc. Unfortunately a few things did not work as well as they should have e.g the bathroom door did not close properly because the handle was too close to the door frame.

Nice hotel, great staff, but not the best sleep

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Decor, cleanliness, staff were excellent.
Cons: Sleep quality in our room was overall below average. Room maintenance a bit lax - e.g. coffee, toiletries weren't replaced. Light switches didn't work
Location: Location just out of it a little, handy for trams to the Centre/Leideseplein. Museums close. Take a tip & hire a bike for the day to see Amsterdam
Stayed here for a long weekend in Amsterdam, overall a nice hotel. Hotel is well decorated, very nicely done in a classy, modern style with excellent attention to detail. My wife partcularly appreciated the style of interior design. Lobby areas very nice, room was also quite pleasant if not very small & very narrow(a double deluxe). Staff very professional yet friendly also. Rooms clean, as one would expect, and the design touches extend into the rooms to give thema special design feel. TV in the room had TV channels in multiple languages - even the BBC! - and there was a nespresso machine and good sized safe in the room as well. Overall quite a nice place to be. However, leep quality in our room was overall below average. The bed was comfy but pillows weren't, and the room overall was noisy - from outside traffic (mainly trams, can't be helped!) but also inside from (for example) hot water pipes that seemed to run through the room making a racket when someone, somewhere is taking a shower ,also from staff/guests starting early in the mornings-5AM one morning which I think was staff in the kitchen/restaurant area. Difficult to plan for from the hotel's point of view but nonetheless the noise did travel easily, & meant we didn't really get a good night's sleep in the 3 days as we are light sleepers.

Hotel nuevo, habitación muy bien decorada, todo limpio y correcto, sobre todo para lo que se ofrece en Amsterdam. Como inconveniente, que está alejado del centro, en el barrio de los museos

Pros: The friendly, professional staff were the best thing about the hotel.
Cons: Nothing
Location: The location is convenient for shopping, museums, trams, eating out and there are two parks nearby. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see
From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful. Our room was very stylish, immaculate and comfortable. We had a canal view and it was definitely worth paying a little extra to have this. Breakfast was lavish and made the whole experience special.

Great location

Easy commuting to the centres, helpful staff, nice and clean rooms - although a bit small. Most of the amenities are newly fitted. I would definitely stay here again

Great place. Quiet from the Maddening Crowd.

Great place. Very clean. Very courteous staff. Quiet and away from the maddening crowd near central but very easily accessible by the trams that stop just in front of hotel. Don't forget to visit the daily market just 500 m away - which closes on Sun.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, great location

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was updated and very clean.
Cons: The shower floods the floor. We placed towels in front of the shower to soak it up. A mini fridge would be nice.
Location: Great location with a tram right outside. Short walk to Museumplein and Albert Cupymarkt.
My husband and I had a great time in Amsterdam. As soon as you enter the hotel, the front staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was always cleaned and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast may be a little expensive, but the pastries were delicious!

Excellent location with great rooms

Booked this hotel as part of an Expedia package for my boyfriends christmas present. We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by a member of the hotel staff who was very friendly and explained everything very clearly. We weren't able to check in straight away but they took our bags and put them in our room for when we got back in the afternoon. The hotel was a few minutes away from the central location of Amsterdam with a tram right outside the hotel which takes you straight to the central station. We ordered room service on our first night and the food was great and delivered well. Rooms were always clean and the hotel was very well laid out. Would recommend to others and would definitely come back again.
