Super hotel, situated 5 minutes walk from centrePosted Nov 23, 2013
Hotel, staff and area all first class. The number 4 tram stops right outside and it's a very pleasant short walk to some super cafés and shops. Would definitely stay at Notting Hill again.

Great Location, Fantastic little hotel !!Posted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: Fixtures and fittings in the hotel were fantastic, great coffee machine, nice touches in toiletries, beautifully decorated & immaculately clean,
Cons: We stayed in a deluxe room, and the only thing missing was a bath, however we did have an amazing walk in shower instead.
Location: The location of the hotel is great,Tram 4 or 25 take you straight to Amsterdam Centraal in under 10mins. Walk in 20 - 25 mins. Nice quiet area.
Amsterdam is an amazing city, but where you come back to stay is also very important. We've just come back from a stay Thursday 24th - Sunday 27th October at Nottinghill and had a wonderful time. The hotel was easy to find, and the tram 4 or 25 stop literally outside. However the hotel is situated in a quieter section of the southern part of the city. Under 10mins on a tram or 20-25mins on foot and you're at Centraal station, or 10-15mins walk from the Rijksmuseum. The hotel is small but beautifully decorated. We stayed in a deluxe room, which was immaculately clean, and finished with state of the art light switches, a lovely little Nespresso machine, nice toiletries, slippers robes, iron & Ironingboard, safe and flat screen TV. The bathroom was large, with no bath, but with a huge walk in shower fit for four ! again with nice taps and basins. The room and hotel were a pleasure to stay in, and required a lot of effort to leave each morning. Huge very comfortable beds, and a great turn down service made it a pleasure to return to at the end of the day. The trip and hotel were a surprise to my partner, and she was absolutely delighted where we were staying. I have no qualms recommending this hotel to anyone, and will definitely return here. We didn't eat in the restaurant, as we had alternate plans, and the menu wasn't vast or overly inspiring, but what we saw of other guests food looked very nice. All in all a great experience in Amsterdam, most definitely helped by staying here.

Convenient clean and comfortable hotelPosted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: The room Friendly and helpful staff
Location: Slightly out of the centre though everything was easily within walking distance and tram stops outside.
Very nice welcome with some useful information given about the various areas of the city. I was on my own and, as the weather was not very good, I stayed in the hotel in the evenings and the bar and restaurant staff could not have been more hospitable.

Good but could be better...Posted Oct 9, 2013
Pros: The rooms
Cons: To let the guest know if there will be workers working outside of your window. The breakfast did not impress. Also the possibility to check out latter
Location: The location is great. It is quite enough however walking distance from the museums, bars, restaurants, the Leidsenplain, etc.
Very good place, good location, the staff is friendly and the rooms were great. It is a bit pricy for what offers and my experience with the breakfast was not really good, it could be better for what you pay. It is still a grwat place though...

Pros: The rooms were fitted with modern air conditioning, lighting, showers, etc. Location is also excellent.
Location: Heineken factory is 5-10 minute walk. Rijks is about 15 minute walk. Vondelpark is about 20 minute walk. Great local (non touristy) bars close by.
Great price for a great hotel. Close by to a lot of tourist attractions Close to supermarkets, local bars, and Vondelpark. Hotel staff was VERY helpful. The room was very pleasant.

Nice Hotel Convenient LocationPosted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: Location, cleanliness and price
Cons: The porter was not available on our arrival but the desk staff jumped right in to help with our bags. Restaurant wait staff could be more attentive.
Location: On the outer ring of canals but close to shopping and restaurants.
We enjoyed our stay in this trendy hotel. Location was an easy 30 walk to the center of the city. Quiet location near tram lines and restaurants. Will return.

Good location, great hotel.Posted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: The room was spacious, clean and modern and the staff was very friendly. Metro stations are nearby if you don't want to walk.
Cons: Better directions on the coffee maker. We were afraid to use it because the directions weren't clear and we were afraid we might break it.
Location: This hotel is about half way between the museums and the shopping/restaurant areas so it was very convenient.
This hotel is in a good location that allows you to easily walk to all areas including the museums, shopping areas, restaurants and even the train depot. The hotel provided us with a map of the city at check in and circled all of the areas that they thought we might be interested in visiting. There is a grocery store nearby if you need anything or want to buy snacks to take back to your room. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the room was very spacious by European standards with high ceiling which made it feel even larger. This hotel was built in 2006, I believe, so the rooms are very updated including robes and slippers but the outside of the hotel was built to fit in with the architecture of the area which I liked. This hotel is rated as a 4 star hotel but we would give it a 5 star rating and will definitely stay there if we visit Amsterdam in the future.
