Absolutely amazing hotelPosted Feb 24, 2014
So glad we decided on the okura as our base you have to go to the 23rd floor and experience the views and we would highly recommend the tasting menu in the 2 Michelin starred restaurant Ciel Bleu it will blow you away. Rooms were very clean modern and bed was extremely comfy. Bathroom interesting with the window overlooking the room and blind for discretion. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone on a trip to the city.

Excellent all around!Posted Jan 9, 2014
Pros: From check-in to check-out, the hotel staff were right on top of everything!
Cons: Nothing could be improved upon! Perfect experience for us!
Location: The hotel is a 30 minute walk from just about anything. For those not inclined to walk, the is a tram stop right outside the hotel. And, taxis!
Wow. What a hotel and staff! We loved the room, restaurants, spa and overall easy feel of the place. We will be back!

Blissfully comfortable bedPosted Jan 4, 2014
Pros: The comfortable bed
Cons: Expensive breakfast and use of the pool was extra.
Location: Quiet area south of the city, 15 minutes walk to the museums
Loved the room, newly refurbished with very comfortable bed, choice of pillows too. Good views over the city from the room and the bar on the 22nd floor. Liked the selection of Japanese drinks on the bar menu! a pleasant change and with excellent service. Selection of sockets for UK,US and euro plugs, made it easier to use electrical items.

Very restful locationPosted Jan 1, 2014
Pros: Well trained staff and attention to detail.
Well equipped room, excellent housekeeping etc. not too far from tram stops to take you into the centre or museums. Good alternative breakfast venues near the hotel should you need them.

Beautiful hotel, expensive but worth itPosted Dec 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
I stayed at this hotel for a trade show I was attending. The place is plush, has very expensive fixtures and fittings, with well appointed rooms. I loved the very obviously Japanese feel to the building. The room was very comfortable, with the usual desk, TV, bed etc. The en-suite had glass walls that allowed you to sit in the tub and look into the room (blinds in the glass panels hide your modesty if you wish). The ONLY thing I didn't like about the whole experience was the rather aggressive individual who met me outside the lift on the 23rd floor and bombarded me with questions about why I was there. The 23rd floor is the bar and restaurant area. To get there you need to have a guest key or the lift doesn't move, so it was somewhat surprisingly how aggressive he was being. I felt like not bothering with going to the bar but I stood my ground and went anyway. It could have put me off the hotel but the rest of the staff were great.

Comfy beds but poor value for money at breakfastPosted Nov 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall it was very good but we thought the breakfast was only satisfactory and very expensive. I would recommend that people find somewhere outside the hotel for breakfast. Dutch breakfasts are usually excellent.

Staff couldn't do to much, very clean.Posted Oct 21, 2013
My first time abroad in 11 years was a wonderfull experience the Dutch people, where very friendly . The staff in the hotel could not do enough. View from the bar was amazing, pool and gym did a spot on job in preparing me for Amsterdam marathon.
