“Basil Faulty”

After a very unpleasant experience with a hotel in Paris we were apprehensive about the quality of this hotel. When we arrived we were met by a highly strung manager/owner who insisted that we provide the written voucher from expedia before we were able to stay there. It took a while for him to calm down as we only had the email confimation of the booking from expedia. My wife was ready to leave and find accommodation elsewhere. As however it had already been paid for and it was Easter with very little accommodation elsewhere I put up with his rant and we were finally able to check in. After that everything went well and the hotel certainly was adequate for our needs. The manager/owner even later apologised.
