“Perfectly Unique”

The location of this hotel is so central it makes getting about really easy. The hotel is spotless clean and the bedroom design was quirky and unique plus the bed and bedding were top quality and very comfortable. I will be staying at this hotel next time I am in Amsterdam.

Cracking little hotel 5 minutes from Central Station and well placed to explore the many charms of Amsterdam. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful and our room was very clean and fresh with maid service daily. The hotel and rooms have a funky, arty vibe that gives add its own unique character. The 2 star room was slightly small with little storage room, but the ridiculously comfy bed more than made up for that!

“Phenomenal Hotel”

Great hotel! Our initial room wasn't to our liking, but that's a risk you take when going to a hotel with unique, individual rooms. Fortunately, we were easily able to move to a different room. The staff gave better advice than either lonely planet or the NY Times, and the location was phenomenal.

“On the rise...”

This was the second time that I have stayed in this hotel and have been impressed each time that I stay. This hotel is not one of the run-of-the-mill hotels in Amsterdam. The various artistic influences add character to each of the rooms and the hotel as a whole. The stairs and elevator give the feel that you are in an Escher lithograph. The staff of the hotel during both of my stays have been very friendly and accommodating. The service provided by the hotel staff is enough basis to choose this hotel for future stays. The location is another key feature to the hotel. Set in between Dam Square and Central Station, the hotel is easy to reach and within a short distance to many attractions in Amsterdam. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, interesting, and convenient location to stay while visiting Amsterdam.

“Good things come in small packages”

Nice clean, new, modern hotel. Like most things in Amsterdam it was a bit small, but not complaining. Very clean and very well maintained. Our bed was massive and very comfortable. Great location, only about a 5 minute walk from Centraal Station, on Damrak. Close to most of the things Amsterdam has to see and do. Only annoying thing is that the hotel didnt take cash. Card only.

My only complain is the breakfast is not included in the price and the bedroom is very small.

“Surprisingly nice, amazingly clean”

Loved the pristine, white, fluffy comforters and pillows, but they should provide a mess-proof throw blanket at the foot of the bed, so you can throw your bags on it without worrying about marking up the whiteness. Surprisingly quiet, since other reviewers complained about noise, except on our last night, someone kept slamming a door nearby, which kept my husband awake, although I never heard it. They were very diligent about providing clean towels, even when we didn't want them, but I wish they had provided washcloths and hand towels instead of just big towels, though they were exceptionally clean and fluffy. Excellent value for a budget hotel. Very convenient location with lots of nearby food and activities; great for when you're tired after a long day of sightseeing and just want to crash in your room. They let us store things in their refrigerator overnight, which was convenient. The room decor was eccentric, but the overall place was chic, cheerful and airy. The chair frame with the sloppily crocheted seat and back was ridiculously nonfunctional as a chair but made a serviceable luggage rack.
