Casual, offbeat and friendly.Posted Apr 20, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, casual atmosphere.
Cons: Perhaps a little more in the way of creature comforts in the rooms--a make your own coffee/tea selection for example.
Location: Its a brief walk or short tram ride to the museums and concertgebouw. Some nice small restaurants and cafes nearby.
This hotel has been renovated in a casual and modern style. The lobby was transformed into a casual living room, complete with a small collection of LP's and a record player you may use. Its a nice place to unwind and if the staff are not too busy, they will keep you company if you wish and they are very knowledgable about Amsterdam and its surroundings. They are very helpful and informed about getting tickets to museums, shows, taxis, etc. It is also conveniently located near some nice restaurants and cafes. It is easy to reach on Tram 2 from the Central station, so get a tram ticket for the duration of your stay, and come and go as you wish. The breakfast is served in the same casual way, and there is an honour system for drinks, coffee and wine--the cost is rather less than in most higher end four and five star hotels. I'd stay here again in an instant.

Lovely hotel close to museumsPosted Apr 18, 2014
Had a fantastic stay in a beautiful room with a balcony. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was a homely 'living room' area for all guests to relax. The hotel was very close to the museum district and a tram stop for transport to the centre. The hotel also borders the Vondel Park. We highly recommend The Neighbours Magnolia, a great hotel in a beautiful city!

Good HotelPosted Apr 16, 2014
Good hotel in a nice neighborhood. Very dog friendly, and they accept dogs of all sizes. There are a handful of cafes and bars right around the corner.

Lovely hotel. Great location.Posted Apr 13, 2014
This hotel was amazing. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the rooms were a good size. The location is perfect. Very trendy neighbourhood with some great shops and restaurants very close. Getting into town is super easy as well. Only a 15 min walk or 3 tram stops. The only thing I could fault would be that if you have a room at the front of the hotel, it can be a bit noisy with the tram and cars going by. Other than that, our stay was very pleasant.

Great place, 10/10Posted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: Room, bathroom, bed, tv, view, staff...
Location: A lot of museums nearby, walk to center in 10 minutes...
We have stayed for few days. Hotel is great. If we go back, we will definitely stay at the same place again. It is about 10 minutes walk from Rijk Museum, Van Gogh museum. Basically, if you stay here, you can pretty much walk to any place you want to. Also, there is a nice park behind it.

Modern with a homely touchPosted Feb 9, 2014
The rooms are basic though very comfy with great bathroom fittings. Staff are friendly, and the common areas lovely for relaxation and socialising with other guests.

Very nice and friendly but no elevator(!!)Posted Nov 8, 2013
Pros: Most of it.
Cons: Elevator?? :)
Very nice and friendly hotel but there is no elevator so I had to drug my bags 3 floors on narrow stairs. (The girl from reception tried to help but still....) All people at the reception are very friendly.

Nice, good-value hotel in reasonable locationPosted Jan 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Lovely hotel, stayed over New Year and saw in 2013 with the host of the hotel. Made us feel feel very welcome. Room had everything we needed including minibar, hair dryer, TV (including BBC 1). Breakfast was continental, had everything you need. Although no hot drink facilities in the room, drinks available from lobby. Everything clean and tidy, rooms cleaned daily including frsh towels etc. Re: location - on a tram line (line 2), stop is literally 2 minutes from the hotel, and hotel is located approx. 2 stops from Leidseplein (approx. 5-10 mins), probably 5-6 from Centraal Station (maybe 15-20 mins), although we did most travelling on foot (20 minutes to Leidseplein, 45 to Dam). A few restaraunts and shops about, also not far from Vanda Park, worth a walk through it to get to Leidseplein. Only difficulty (for some) maybe access in hotel - stairs very steep, so if poor mobility would probably avoid. Otherwise, lovely!

Quiet and ComfortablePosted Nov 13, 2012 on Hotels.com
I only stayed at this location one night but it was a comfortable stay in a quiet residence neighborhood by the park. The room was very nice and the staff was extremely helpful.
