Comfortable night's sleep in Amsterdam

Posted Oct 24, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, comfort, no traffic sounds, availability of food.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Easy to walk to Hermitage Amsterdam as well as city centre.
Arrived during late evening. Were able to get a freshly baked pizza to eat. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean foyer, elevator and corridor. Room very clean too. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Room was overlooking a busy street but no traffic sounds were heard. Recommend visiting Hermitage Amsterdam - a short walk from the hotel. Would book this hotel again.

Massively overrated!

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: Bed / mattress okay
Cons: Towels very old. More TV channels. Friendliness of staff. Bike hire prices.
Standard Ibis room with plastic bath room, average location (20 min footwalk from city centre). Definitely too expensive compare to other hotels in better tourist locations.

Nice hotel close to the city centre

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: The reception area was friendly and welcoming. The hotel room itself was quite nice and had modern facilities.
Cons: The hallways are a bit dated and lifts are quite small.
Location: The hotel was located roughly a 10 minute walk from the centre of Amsterdam which was great. Also one of the Hop on/Hop off stops is located close by.
We stayed for 2 nights towards the end of July. We walked (with our luggage) from the Train Station which was about a 15 minutes. We were going to take a taxi but the driver informed us that the Hotel was only a 2 minute walk away and sent us in the wrong direction! That was a pain (no fault of the hotel) but checking in was a breeze, we were informed that there was a 30 minute wait on our room and were offered the option of a free upgrade which we took. Our room had a great view overlooking one of the canals and was quite large. Upon leaving, the hotel staff organised a taxi to the train station which was easy. All up, a great experience and would definitely recommend to anyone.

The missing kettles

Posted Aug 11, 2014
We booked the ibis because we have enjoyed these hotels many times before and know what we are getting .Everything about this hotel was excellent but where have the tea making facilities gone ? We only book rooms witha kettle so straight in the door and after a search concluded they have stopped supplying .. So alas we will not visit an ibis again but cannot fault what we did get .

Convenient Hotel

Pros: The location is convenient for most of Amsterdam's many and varied attractions and has all the amenities required by short stay travellers.
Cons: We did not require any inprovements, just keep up the present, pleasing standard.
Location: All of Amsterdam's museums, canal activities, transport links are nearby.
Enjoyed a short break in Amsterdam visiting relatives staying at this clean, comfortable and friendly hotel.
