Handy hotel for the station

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Excellent cheery breakfast worker, by name of Schubert, couldn't do enough for us!
Cons: The hotel is a bit clinical, but OK for a one night stay over
Location: Central location. Plenty to do, see, eat, nearby.
One night stay over...en route from Delft to Amsterdam to UK

Closed to station and shopping area

Easy check it and out, the hotel room is quiet small but clean. Location of this hotel is really good because of the distance between the train station and the downtown area is nearby.

Great hotel close to Central Station and Cafes.

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Modern rooms that were very functional and well laid out with air condition. Breakfast is included.
Cons: Safe did not work in the room. Bathroom could use a table to put your toiletries.
Location: Located 3 minutes from Central Station, and lots of bars and cafes within easy walk of the hotel.
Ideal location, just over the road from Central Station. Check in was very easy, and was pleasantly surprised with the modern rooms. Self service breakfast every morning. Very easy to explore the city from the hotel, or go further a field from Central Station.

Clean, Bright, Conveniently located

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, bright rooms, good breakfast
Cons: Need a dustbin in the bathroom
The hotel was just a 5 min walk from the Central station in Amsterdam. The Dam square was at a walking distance, so was the tram station and the Hop-on-hop-off bus stops. Restaurants, cafes, coffee shops were close by. I highly recommend this hotel for the 1st time visitors to Amsterdam.

Location only- read on

The only plus of this hotel is that u are just 3 minutes walk from the Central Station. Rooms are decent. Even though an internal lock is provided in the room for additinal safety it does not work. When I asked about it the staff said that all rooms have the same problem and nobody could come in except without a key. The staff aggressively tries to send u tours that u do not require - so guys BEWARE. Breakfast is TERRIBLE. Just BASIC. No tea and coffee machine in the room- just one machine is provided for use by all personnel in the ground floor. So if u need tea or coffee it is walk down. Overall just the location

Cramped and dark

Posted May 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Somewhat disappointed with the window facing inwards to a light well. Two of us could hardly move about the room with luggage. Bathroom is a shower room which got wet all over and was tiny. Paid over the odds so expected a room with natural light. Avoid the tasteless scrambled eggs at breakfast. Boiled eggs and fresh bread was good. Not likely to stay at Ibis again. Positive side was cheerful staff and convenient location.
