Amsterdam hotel ideal locationPosted Sep 11, 2014
Hotel was ideally located and easy walking distance to virtually all areas of Central Amsterdam. Only 5 minutes walk from main railstation but we forgot our street map so it took us 10 min to locate ( LOL). Very pleased with room and staff all great. Our booked cycle tour was only 25m along the road ( nice surprise) and all other attraction we simply walked to. Highly recommended

Centrally located with a young, friendly staff.Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Helpful staff, right on down to the housekeeper that brought our requested 1 bar of soap. Comfortable bed. Great location.
Cons: The decor is outdated. But seriously, who stays at hotels to judge the decor?
Location: There are hundreds of shops, cafes, coffeeshops, restaurants, theatres, and museums within walking distance. Tours leave from Centraal station.
Inntel Hotel is located just above the Red Light District and is within walking distance of hundreds of coffeeshops, cafes, restaurants, theatres, museums, etc. It's just a 5 minute walk from Centraal Station and Dam Square. The young, friendly staff quickly and accurately processes your requests and helps orient you as much as possible. They WILL call your room at 1pm daily if your room has not been cleaned yet (we left the "do not disturb" on at all times). Right outside the hotel, literally, are 5 restaurants with outside seating and beautiful trees. You won't find many places in Amsterdam with greenery, so it's a nice change in the morning and when you return to/leave your hotel. Our room had no view, but the window cracked open and made sleeping better than at home (for me at least). I had no trouble sleeping soundly for 7-8 hours, even though my sleep pattern was about 5am-1pm. We did have a neighbor that was less than pleased with her man one morning around 11am, but it was more comical than annoying. I don't generally expect a ton from hotels, as I usually only sleep and shower there, and Inntel provided exactly what I needed. We got a Superior room for the king-size bed, as this was our honeymoon. It was a little pricey for what you get, but it's in a very safe area and the bed was very comfy.

Close to main train stationPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Close to train station was a bonus.
Cons: Breakfast at a more attractive rate and a better view of the city would have been great.
Location: The location is off the main street but it is a bit scruffy, lots of restaurants and nearby canals.
Very helpful and friendly staff who really tried to make sure you had a good stay.

Great location, 2 blocks from central stationPosted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: Tickets for GVB transit and museums available at front desk. Reception staff was excellent
Cons: Bed was too soft and duvee was too hot.Just a sheet would have been good. Air conditioning didn't work properly. Couldn't adjust temp.
Location: Close to Dam Square, Red Light district, Central station Close to transit and walking distance (within 2km) to almost everything. Quiet at night
Great location for exploring the city. Trams stop on street just steps away from entrance. Good restaurants just a few steps away and across the street.
