Nice hotel close to all the sights

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: The location.
We had a very good experience. We were given an upgrade to a business room and it was very comfortable. The breakfast was good and of high quality. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the central train station.

Pros: The central proximity to the central station, red light and Anne Frank house.
Cons: It was a bit annoying having to catch a lift to level 2 in order to get to my room on level 4 but only minor
Location: central station, red light, Anne Frank house

Post cruise stay in Amsterdam

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Location of hotel and front office staff were excellent. We had no air conditioning in one room of two we booked. The technician told us to turn the fan to medium and then it would work. Of course it didn't and on reflection what he said made absolutely no sense - he was trying to make it someone else's problem. The staff did offer us another room when they couldnt fix the AC.

Nice room. They voluntarily gave me an upgrade because I stayed there before. Odd art in the room

Location is very convenient. But rooms are cramped

Posted Aug 1, 2014
Front desk staff were quite rude. Charged my credit card without informing me and when confronted were rude. Had to escalate matter to the manager who acknowledged the mistake. There are practically no amenities other than the room, especially for the price charged.

Helpful staff, good location. Loads of info and tickets available. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance and Dam Square 5 mins walk away.
