First time stay in Amsterdam
Kuwadro is on a very lively street in the heart of Amsterdam's Red Light district. The B&B was spotless and modern. Our sleeping area/living space was spacious, even with the sofa bed open. One of the nicest features is a large terrace off the living area with great views. The kitchen was well-equipped with a stove, fridge and dishwasher. A stacked washer and dryer were also part of the kitchen. This space is shared with one other unit where the assistant sometimes stays. However, she left each evening after setting up food for the next day's breakfast and was not intrusive at all. There was always plenty of food and beverages for us. When we arrived, the assistant checked us in, and she was extremely helpful taking our luggage upstairs. If you have limited mobility, this place will not work for you. It's a typical Dutch building with steep, narrow stairs. Kuwadro is on the 4th floor (American) with no elevator. The entry and stairway are dark and give the misperception that it's not a nice place to stay. But once you enter the B&B, you'll see it's a great space. My sister and I are women in our 60s, but we were able to negotiate the stairs and we loved our apartment. What wasn't a good fit was the neighborhood, which was targeted toward young people who wanted to party. It would be nice to see the other Kuwadro unit in the Jordaan neighborhood. The B&B owners were great about communicating via WhatsApp. I even got instructions while on the train from Paris. Great stay!

Nice B&B in central location, Johnny and Goran were great. Kitchen was shared but no one in other unit so made room bigger. All very clean and kitchen was superbly stocked, very nice terrace as well. Nice bathroom and room.

Great Red Light Location.
I found the hotel to be very accommodating and comfortable. Those who books should be aware of the shared bathroom which is clearly noted in the listing. It is nice that the bathroom is broken into two rooms - one for the toilet and one for the shower that make it easier to share. Additionally, there are two long flights of Dutch stairs which can be difficult to navigate with luggage but are fine otherwise. Johnny and Goran are very helpful and responsive to questions. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. Appreciated the full kitchen and coffee maker. Internet was available and reliable. Although the room is on a very busy street, the noise is almost completely blocked when the windows are closed and sleeping is no problem. There is also a fan in the room which is really nice.

Great place to stay!
The hotel was situated in the middle of red light district which was great for us as it was central to the city and public transport. The hotel and room were clean and comfortable. Our bedroom was on the small side but we weren't there much for it to matter. There was a balcony as well which opened up the space also. The food for breakfast was good and there was enough for two. You basically live in an apartment with the kitchen and bathroom facilities shared between the two rooms that are here. The only downfall is carrying your luggage up and down 3 sets of very narrow and steep stairs but other than that it's great. There is a washing machine and dryer on site as well for a few euro charge if you need it too.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Kuwadro B&B. We walked over in a few minutes from the train station with our bags and after a minute or two of searching for the address we were greeted on the street outside the apartment by Zeus. He made us feel very welcome and did a great job of getting us oriented to the apartment and to Amsterdam. The room was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare breakfast and the refrigerator was well-stocked with a variety of food. The street outside of the apartment has a lot of foot traffic in the evening mostly younger folks taking in the Amsterdam night life and action. There are many restaurants within a few minutes walk. We couldn't hear street noise from the apartment but could pick up crowd noise from a bar 3-stories below our window that stayed open pretty late. Despite that we slept soundly and comfortably, had great breakfasts while we were there, and felt safe both inside and outside of the apartment. The only negative for some people might be the narrow staircase (no lift) which requires packing bags up three flights of stairs. But we travel light, 1 small bag each, and in our case Zeus packed both bags up to the room for us. We packed them down when we left but not really a burden or strain for us. Had fun at this place and we would go back again!

Reconfirm with hotel before you stay!
This is probably a nice place as others have said. But I have no idea, as they cancelled my reservation without establishing contact with me first. As a result, I had no room, was in Amsterdam at the end of July, and received no help from this hotel other than "maybe the place next door has rooms." To be fair, there was a problem with my credit card that developed after I made the reservation using hotels.com. But hotels.com was aware of the issue, and had a valid credit card on file for me. I was assured my reservation remained confirmed and there would be no issues. The hotel, however, cancelled my reservation without first establishing contact with me. Although they claim to have sent e-mails and text messages to me, the only ones I have seen were forwarded by them to me in August. In July, the first time I spoke to anyone was the moment I showed up at their door. In addition to not reaching me, I have doubts that they contacted hotels.com either; as late as two weeks after checkout time, hotels.com thought I had stayed there. The reservation remained "open" during the entire time I was supposed to have stayed at this place, and today (16 days later) is "completed" but was never "cancelled" by anyone. Should you choose to stay here, make sure to reconfirm WITH THE HOTEL before you do. Having a reservation confirmed by hotels.com with a valid credit card number was not enough, in my case, to actually have a room.

Convenient and Cosy!
Conveniently located in the hub of all the excitement. 5-10 minutes walk from the Amsterdam Central Station, and just a street away from the infamous red light district. Food can be found just a few steps away from the entrance, and a few awesome pastry shops are just around the corner. Very nice host whom introduced us to what's around the area and worth checking out. Strongly recommended! One thing to note however, will be the steep flights of stairs (3 levels to be exact), so it would be of a little hassle if you have a big luggage.

The B&B is perfectly located in the centre of Amsterdam. The larger bedroom, which we used was great, although this was above the street which occasionally suffered noise from the street below. The kitchen is very well appointed and the supplied diy breakfasts more than adequate with excellent, gas hob, microwave, fridge, coffee and tea making facilities.

A Nice Hideaway
A very nice little bed and breakfast, clean & comfortable. The full kitchen was most welcome. The 57 stairs were scary at first but kept me sober. An excellent B&B, I would definitely recommend Kuwadro.

To be able to stay in the heart of Amsterdam in what amounts to a very easy to find location without having to go through all the trouble of signing in and out of a hotel etc.. this was ideal. The host was fantastic. You can help yourself to breakfast as you wish and allowing me the chance to leave my luggage in the apartment as I had a late flat was excellent. Will stay again.

Lovely apartment in heart of Amsterdam
We absolutely loved our stay at Kuwadro bed and breakfast, and would not hesitate to stay here again. There are 2 bedrooms in the apartment, wih a shared bathroom and shower. We stayed in the smaller bedroom with the balcony. If I was to stay here again, I would request this room again. While it is small, it is very bright, comfortable, and we really enjoyed spending time on the balcony. We had a very friendly greeting upon arrival. We didn't really mind sharing the bathroom facilities with one other couple. We really enjoyed the coffee and tea available at no charge. Overall, we were disappointed we had to leave and would certainly return.

Nice Place to Stay In Amsterdam
This is a well-located b & b near the Central Station and the Dam. It's an apartment with two bedrooms - mine was very large and comfortable, and you share bathroom facilities. Although the surrounding district can be quite noisy, the windows are double-paned, and so noise was not a problem - I slept well. Breakfast is left in the fridge, for self-service - couldn't find bread or rolls which was not a huge deal for me. I rated service only as a 3 because the facility is staffed only to greet guests - the greeting was friendly and helpful, but you cannot expect service that you would find in a hotel. WiFi was excellent. Be prepared to climb steep stairs!

Good Times!
I loved this little B&B! My BF and I stayed over for 3 nights last week. It is right in the center of Amsterdam, the owner (Goran) was super helpful and friendly. The place is absolutely adorable and comfortable. Goran cleans the apartment everyday and leaves food for breakfast for the guests. Only one small thing, the towels need to be replaced, they were very dry. I would stay here again.

Stayed there for two nights from Sep 8. Location is awesome. Only 10 min by walk from Amsterdam Centraal - pleasant to walk, lots to see on the route. Room and bed are big enough, very clean, staff is very friendly, perfect security. Couldn't be better. Foods are fresh and good enough for B&B. Will definately stay there again.

If one is in the front room, there are only two rooms, do not expect to get any sleep. Overlooking a pedestrian thorough fare, next to a Irish pub. Not recommended if you fancy a beer as the stairs are seriously steep. over priced for a B & B. On the plus side, very clean and comfortable. Friendly owners. Excellent location for getting around.

Kuwadro B&B in Amsterdam - a home away from home
Kuwadro is perfect for two couples going away together, as it is an apartment with two bedrooms and allows for a lot of independence. It looks wonderful and everything works fine. There is always a varied selection of breakfast food in the fridge, and you come and go as you please - we felt totally at home, and it definitely made our stay even more relaxed and awesome.

Kuwadro B & B Amsterdam
The place is flat on the top floor of a typical Amsterdam terrace house. There are 2 guest rooms plus a kitchen / breakfast room. The shower and WC are shared between the two rooms. The place has been tastefully refurbed with plain plaster walls and waxed wooden floors. It was spotlessly clean. The hosts met me on check in and check out and were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was typical Dutch - a good selection of cold meats and cheeses, fresh bread, cereal, eggs, coffee and juice. Not top luxury but a nice haven just off Dam Square in the heart of the city. Ideal for two couples if you can book out the whole place, but still fine if you just have one room as the place is aimed at people who are reasonably civilised. The stairs mean this would not be suitable for the less physically able.

I also have to agree what the other reviews say about the Kuwadro's bed and breakfast , first its in a great location about a 10 min walk from the station, so you can get to any of the main attractions in under 20 minutes. The room was are great and the apartment was very tidy, it really felt like being at home. the apartment has two rooms, would be perfect for couples to stay and great on your own as the place to quiet big, breakfast was provided and the nespresso machine was very handy. Goran was there to greet me and spent his time chatting about the city recommending good things to see and places to go out. i really recommend you stay here if you visit Amsterdam, its really worth the stay.

Appartement très bien placé au cœur de Amsterdam. Terrasse( à agrémenter pour la rendre plus agréable) plein est parfait pour les petits déjeuners copieux au soleil. Agréable Carillon rythmant les journées. Service sérieux et discret de la part de Goran et Johnny.

Rent og pænt med central beliggenhed
Ligger super centralt med 10 min gang til hovedbanegården, så meget nemt at tage toget fra lufthavnen. 5 min til gågaden og med Red Light lige i baghaven. Meget serviceminded vært. Vi havde køkkenet for os selv, så det var nærmest en lejlighed med dejligt fyldt køleskab hele tiden, og også mulighed for selv at lave mad hvis man skulle få lyst.

Wunderschönes Apartment, mit netten Gastgebern. Inzwischen gibt es ein eigenes Badezimmer, nur die Küche wird mit einem anderen Zimmer geteilt, was aber durch die Aufteilung der Wohnung sehr angenehm ist. Hammer Lage und sehr große, private Dachterasse!

Weekend på red light district
Jättebra! Enda klagomål är 3 trappor upp smal mörk trappa. Men att bo högt gör att det är tyst vilket är bra eftersom området är lite stökigt. Det hade varit ännubättre om det funnits två täcken i dubbelsäng. Frukost fixar man själv , vilket känns skönt. Saknade Youghert sista dagen. Men vi trivdes jättebra och kundesitta ute och fika på den stora terassen. Tack!!!
