“Beware of the cyclists”

We are active seniors and found this apartment/hotel ideal for our needs. It is centrally located so you can walk into the main part of the city in 15 minutes, Anne Frank in 25 minutes, Van Gough in 15 minutes and other notable attractions in reasonable times. We even walked to the Centraal Train station, but not with bags! Alex, mine host, is very obliging and the breakfasts are all you need, fresh and plentyful. Alex will even cook you eggs if you wish! We thoroughly recommend la Remise as a good place to stay in a quaint and quiet neighbourhood. However when walking anywhere in Amsterdam, beware of the crazy cyclists, both motorised and those using pedal power!

“Great B&B for a romantic getaway”

Lovely B&B suitable for couples in beautiful area of Amsterdam away from the touristy area but within easy walking distance of great shopping, museums, restaurants and night-life. Rooms are clean and very stylish, all with en-suite bathrooms. The style here is quite minimalist but very trendy. There are only 3 rooms so although you can hear people moving around sometimes, it's not going to happen much. It's also on a very quiet street so you can get a good lie in. Breakfast is very nice and filling enough to keep you going for a few hours. Free high speed wifi throughout too. Highly recommended if you want a romantic break in Amsterdam.
