“Wonderful hotel in chic area”

Extremely comfortable stay. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. In-hotel restaurant very good. Hotel is in a lovely neighborhood of smart shopping and very close to tram that takes one to the heart of Amsterdam in a matter of minutes. Would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat!

“Very Satisfied”

I am very glad I stayed at the Memphis hotel. My bedroom and bathroom were very clean. When I checked in the guy at the front desk was very helpful in pointing out tourist sites on a map and advised me on how to use the trams. He also pointed out nearby places to eat. As far as location, the hotel is outside the city center close to Vondelpark but as long as you learn to use trams this is not a problem. For me personally I loved the location. It is in a residential area and at night the streets are completely empty. Complete silence. No drunk loud tourists ruining my sleep. The only small complaint I have about hotel are the pillows. That's it.

“Walking to Memphis”

It you are traveling to Amsterdam, run, don't walk to the beautiful Memphis Hotel in the museum district.

Museum District - close to everything without the crass commerrcialism of central Amsterdam.

“Hotel Memphis”

The Hotel Memphis is very nice. The location is great and the hotel itself is clean and very pleasnat in every way. I would be quite happy to stay there again.

Area recommendations

Vondel Park and Leidseplein. These areeas are clean safe and pleasant. they are also very close to the museums and the concert hall.

“Great boutique hotel in lovely area near Vondelpark”

We liked the smaller, boutique hotel. it was quiet and clean, had a nice breakfast and bar area. the rooms were pretty spacious and the staff helpful and courteous.

Area recommendations

Vondelpark area is great because it's out of the hustle and bustle of the city center while being a short tram ride away. we loved walking to the park from our hotel for walks or to sit in a cafe after a long day of sightseeing.

“Amsterdam´s Nice Hotel”

The stay in the hotel was really good, people attending the chek-in desk were so polite and helpfull, also people from restaurant too. The price is fair, the quality of the bed and pillows is outstanding, the cleanliness of the bathroom was excelent and the free of charge internet service is essential. There is only one thing that I disagree, an extra charge for the TV service ....but anyway if you are in amsterdam, watch TV is the last thing that you will want to do I definetly recomend this hotel.

Area recommendations

The main purpose of my trip was for bussines, but who wont take advantage of the stay in amsterdam to have fun a litle bit. Obviously you have to go to the touristic places , museums, atractions, boat tours and everything that ís shown in every touristic brochure and map, even the red light district. But i personally recomend to visit parks, non turistic neighborhoods,going into pub´s, taverns, coffees, and restaurants in non touristic areas to now how do the people live and their manners. I also recommend you to respect the rules, to keep everything clean and to respect people tranquility. Finally, I rented a car but it wasn´t very comfortable because, so i droped it and i rented a bike.
