Gutes, sauberes Hotel zu fairem Preis!

Das Zimmer war sauber, modern eingerichtet und für 2 Personen außreichend groß. Frühstück (22,50 €/Person) und Parken (17,50 €/Tag) ist relativ teuer. Es empfiehlt sich den kostenlosen Parplatz gegenüber des Hotels zu nutzen. 2 min. vom Hotel entfernt liegt eine Bushaltestelle. Mit dem Bus gelangt man in 20 min. in die Innenstadt. Alles in allem war es ein angenehmer Aufenthalt. Wir würden das Hotel wieder buchen.

Very nice hotel with city access

Pros: Proximity to city bus. Free shuttle to and from airport. Available restaurant. Modern style and in good repair.
Cons: The shower was more designed as a bath, so it was high and curved to stand in. Room was a tad bit small. Fitness center was useless (as usual).
Location: Midway between the airport and city center. Nothing to do in proximity, but the bus was a short walk away. Tons to do in Amsterdam.
We were in Amsterdam for 6 days and expedia had an amazing deal on flights packaged with this hotel. We got in at 7am, and for 30 euros we were able to check into our room at 8am, which was very nice not having to wait until 2pm after an overnight flight. The 197 bus was a relatively short walk away, and went right to the interesting points of the city. The hotel restaurant was a bit expensive, but it was nice to have the convenience of breakfast or dinner if we chose, being a bus-ride from the city, we took advantage of breakfast a few days. When going back to the airport, even though the shuttle wasn't supposed to leave for another 20 minutes, the driver took us because we were ready.

Hotel con buen clima

Pros: clean silence
Cons: the receptionist would not work in the morning , not fit to face the public's attention
Stay at the Mercure hotel was perfect in terms of : infrastructure , furniture , hygiene and cleanliness , temperature , silence and respect . also called the friendliness and professionalism of Mr. receptionist at night, can not say the same in the case of the receptionist in the morning all the times when we had a question or conversation has been quite nasty. Good combination of bus schedules to Amsterdam ( 20min ) but a bit expensive ( 5eu / day). At the entrance there is a petrol station with a supermarket where we bought food.

Nice hotel friendly staff, only downfall is it's far from the main city, takes up money travelling back and fourth

Sortie de l'aéroport, la navette vous dépose juste devant le parvis de l'hôtel, après s'être enregistré nous découvrons une chambre propre et spatieuse, avec un lit très confortable. Un problème de chauffage réglé en quelques minutes a l'aide d'une hôtesse. En bref, bon rapport qualité/prix.

Great value hotel + easy bus route to town centre

Pros: Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, room and hotel were clean and comfortable, room was serviced each day. Free shuttle very quick and easy.
Cons: The only slight niggle was that the bottom sheet on our bed was too small for it so wouldn't stay on properly, the downside of having a lovely big bed
Cost of hotel was very reasonable for a "king room". Free airport shuttle & wifi, fridge in room and M & S store next door were what made us choose this hotel. Tea and coffee making facilities in room (staff happy to supply more sachets when we ran out) shampoo, soap and shower gel provided, ice machine on ground floor, and there's even a small lift so you don't have to struggle up the stairs with your luggage We used the bus from just up the road from the hotel to get to the town (cross over the road in front of the BP garage,walk to the right and keep walking until you get to the bus stop - about 5 minutes walk) bus 197, which actually runs all the way from the airport to the town. This bus is run by a separate company to the main buses in the town, so we didn't buy a saver ticket as we didn't use any buses once in the town as everything was in walking distance. The bus from the hotel to the town costs 2.5 euros per person, but make sure you tell the driver where you are going on the way there and back so that they charge you the correct amount. You need Leidseplein on the way, and Anderlechtlaan (or just say to the Mercure Hotel!) on the way back. There is a BP petrol station right next door to the hotel with an M&S convenience store-good range of food and drink, we were able to buy cereals, milk, fruit, yoghurts, bread, jam etc so that we could self cater easily (we'd taken our own bowls, plates and cutlery with us with this intent!

A great airport hotel

It was a good experience from start to finish. The bed was amazingly comfy, the room super quiet and the staff were all friendly and helpful. All in all I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Disappointing

It was my husbands 60th bday and I had organised a surprise visit to holland for him (and myself) for few days. Bus transfer - the hour gap between each pick up from airport was waaayyyy tooooo long. Young lady on reception was very nice. Said hotel quiet quiet. We're given room 215(I think). Cold in room, but big radiator heated up v quickly. We unpacked, and settled in for the night. When I pulled back the duvet, it was extremely obvious that there had been someone sleeping in it before!!! Bottom sheet had imprint of a body, sheets wrinkled and hair evident too!!! Yugh! The pillow cases and duvet cover appeared clean. Made call to reception, explained the situation and asked her to come and see evidence, the lovely girl who had booked us in, came to investigate and agreed the case. Gave us the room next door. There was no other contact from the hotel staff regarding the horrible situation, which was disappointing. The door frames are chipped, sink took forever to drain away dirty water, awful smell from drains in both bathrooms. The shower panel on bath, leaked every time shower was taken. The massive heater in room was not tempreture controlled, so it was either roasting hot or freezin! Etc....... At the end of a wonderful 60th surprise trip for my husband, the mercure hotel was SO disappointing when all other 4 star hotels were fab! There is no way this hotel should be classified as '4 star'! Will not be back!
