“Fantastic hotel- great price”

The moevenpick is situated about a 15 minute walk from central station and sits on the River Amstel- the hotel itself is flawless- my only issue with it is its location- beautiful views but I began to tire of a big walk 6 times a day along the deserted industrial "badland" that sits between the moevenpick and the middle of town. Nevertheless- this is a great hotel with excellent staff and the all-important 24Hr bar. Kudos to the extremely able barstaff. Rooms are spacious, new, modern, spotless, stylish and all of which have a spectacular view. Enjoy!

“Highly recommended”

We were very satisfied with our family room at the Moevenpick Hotel. Staff were courteous, efficient and helpful; Mo the concierge deserves a special mention for making a special trip to the station with my 10 year old son's bag which he had forgotten on departure. The views from our room over the canal, the city and towards Nemo were spectacular.

“Very modern, clean hotel”

This hotel was clean and modern. We are a family of three with a 10 year old and normally sharing a bedroom means that there is not much extra room to move about. This was not the case in this room as the sofa was merely made into a bed for our stay. The location of the hotel near the harbour meant that the views from our room were amazing. The only down side was the construction going on during our visit mid-July which meant that it took a bit longer to get to the tram stop but that was not really such a problem. We did not have breakfast in the hotel because we felt it was a bit expensive for us, but on our last night we had a meal in the bar and it was very good. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room was also a welcome change for us Brits!. This is not normal in European hotels.we would not hesitate to reccoment this hotel to friends.

“Perfect vantage point for an Amsterdam experience”

The 20 floor hotel gives an excellent view over the city and harbour area. A short walk from the central station and a tram stops virtually at the doorstep. An excellent hotel, perfect for a short or long stay.

“A very nice modern hotel”

I was fortunate enough to be up graded and with this found the room to be a comfortable size. Other members of my group had the smaller rooms and these were found to be very nice. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also very nice.

“Excellent hotel-location no problem for most travelers”

First let's clarify the location: 1. Take the train to Centraal Station and follow the signs that say "Noord" (north) towards the water. 2. When you reach the water turn right. THAT'S IT. It is not at all complicated. It will take you 10 minutes at a brisk walk and 15-20 rolling luggage. Taking the train from Schiphol is fast and cheap; however, keep in mind the there are 7 steps up to the seating area on the car which may be a problem for some. we stood in the lower vestibule with our bags. I agree with all of he positive reviews of this hotel. I dont see how the location is a problem if you are a walker. You always have to walk back to your hotel regardless of where you are, right? OK- it is not all that charming or picturesque on the harbor but it is quiet! you can pick up snacks to centraal station before you go back to the room. A few minor criticisms: not enough hangers and no drawer space. No grab bar in the tub, which may be a problem for older folks. This tub is a bit high. As with most European design, form trumps function and it is impossible to not get the floor wet from the shower. We found the food at the hotel's Silk Road restaurant to be over-the-top trendy but not at all memorable. Bottom line : rooms are large and in superb condition. Location is only a problem for those who cannot/will not walk. staff is friendly and helpful. enjoy!

“Hotel is excellent for the price. Location is perfect...”

The only problem is parking. It is a Rip Off... You have to pay 3 Euros/hr. There is not a overnight parking plan, everytime you leave the garage you have to pay. This was very expensive. Everything thing else about the hotel is great would highly recommend if you are not driving.
