comfortable, convent choice

The hotel is comfortable with excellent staff and very convenient to the central station and the Dam. The WIFI worked well and I would stay again and recommend this option to my friends.

This is an average 4 star hotel, nothing more.

Posted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: The location and the lobby were nice.
Cons: They need to hire more people and enlarge the staff overall. They also need to fix the light switches.
The hotel is located a short distance from the central station which is really good, and the lobby looks nice. However, the hotel staff seems quite small as we had to wait a long while for someone to take care of us. Our room was nice but the light switches fell apart and didn't work properly. We only satyed at this hotel because we had a discount, but I wouldn't go back. there are much better 5 star hotels.

Great hotel in a central position.

Posted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: Firstly the entire staff are first class. Super efficient and very friendly. Housekeepers are also superb and nothing too much trouble for them.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: The hotel is central to all the usual tourist haunts. Plenty of bars, restaurants and also handy for the station when arriving and leaving.
This was my 3rd visit to this hotel and I had a very enjoyable stay again. It's just across the street from Central Station and a great choice of restaurants, bars, red light district, Dam Square etc are only minutes away walking. Plenty of trams and taxis if you are travelling further afield.

Good Location

Good location and a nice hotel. One bit of advice would be to ask for a room that's not near the side of the hotel as there is quite a bit of noise from the bars on the street.

Central and easy access to and from Airport

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: I particularly liked its location and we found it to be very comfortable and the rooms well equipped and the staff very friendly.
Cons: Nothing that I could see during our very short stay
Location: From the airport it is a 15 minute train ride to Central Station and the hotel right there. No sure what to do near by as our stay was too short
Unfortunately too short - only one night but I will definitely book the same hotel again on my next Amsterdam trip. Could not fault anything within our short stay.

Five Star Accommodation! Really..?

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: The entrance hall & the polite staff that couldn't do enough for me.
Cons: A complimentary bottle of water. I suppose it's meant to be a nice touch, but I've received better from much much cheaper places.
Location: You're right next to the station so you've got all the usual facilities. There's a really nice pizza place to the left of the main entrance!
First of all, the entrance hall & such like (the public areas), are very pretty & look stunning. The room, looked like a travel lodge. I was expecting so much more, having spent good coin on it as a really special treat instead of doing the usual backpacker experience. I was most disappointed, I was so much looking forward to seeing how a Five Star room would be. And make sure you've got some serious coin if you breakfast, it's an eye swivelling $26!

Red Light District Hotel

Posted May 31, 2014
Pros: The lobby was reasonably nice and easy enough to go for a walk or run along the bay in the morning.
Cons: Very noisy. Rooms so-so. Breakfast service indifferent and buffet light on the aesthetics.
Location: Great location for the central train station. Back door drops right into the Red Light district and a plethora of gay bars.
I've stayed in many hotels in Amsterdam. This one wasn't at the top of the list but presented good value. It was however a little less than I expected for what I paid.
