Best Hotel

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: Location and everything!
Cons: Some areas such as the corridor to our room had a large water mark on the carpet and would benefit from replacement.
Location: Very central and plenty to see and do all within walking distance. Large selection of bars and restaurants with in and out door seating.
The hotel is in a perfect location for walking almost everywhere of interest. The staff were fantastic and went above the norm by making our stay very memorable, especially as it was our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. When checking in we were given complimentary breakfasts on all 4 mornings and a bottle of Champagne and a card from the management in our room on the actual day. We were also upgraded to probably one of the best rooms in the hotel. My husband and daughter have stayed in the past which was the reason for returning to this hotel as they were also impressed by staff, location and especially the breakfasts.

Convenient and Comfortable

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: We liked the location and convenience of transportation outside the door.
Cons: Get rid of the sewer gas smell in the stairway by the breakfast room. Fix the broke and missing tiles in the bathroom and replace the chipped sink.
Location: Many restaurants, near the Museum District, plenty of shopping, many tours available. Lots of history outside the door.
This hotel is conveniently located in the center of old Amsterdam. The Flower Market is next door. transportation by Tram, canal tours, museums, shopping, it is all there, plus loads of history outside the front door. The hotel is aging and, like many older buildings, sometimes the smell of sewer gas greets you in different areas. The air conditioning is not what we are used to in the US, but it did provide relief. The breakfast was excellent, with many choices to please every taste.

Zentral gelegen, aber Zimmer verwohnt

Posted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Die zentrale Lage.

Handy for the town centre and main Museums etc.

Posted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: Central for the city
Cons: Throwing out noisy guests!!
Location: Very Central for shops, museums and galleries. Hundreds of restaurants in walking distance.
Stayed here twice to date. Overall very good. Had trouble this time with very noisy neighbours who kept playing very loud music, singing and yelling until midnight when we banged on their door. Did not have to resort to involving the staff.

Albergo in una posizione stupenda. Trascurato nelle parti comuni. Da ristrutturare. Complessivamente lo consiglio.

Great location

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Great location - easy walking to many places of interest. Tram stop closeby.
Cons: It was definitely not a 4*hotel, in my view 2,5 - 3*. A refurbishment would help.
Location: The main flower market 2 min away, great shopping around.
We stayed 2 nights. Our room (delux double room) was very small, we had to move 2 small easy chairs and a small table to the wall to get to the bed. The bed was comforable. There were no proper lamps in the room. The bathroom was spacious but sink was broken. The AC was working fine. A breakfast was EUR 19,00 pp., there were much better options around (restaurant La Place - coffe/tea + orange juice + 5 items - all for EUR 3,25)

Disappointing

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: breakfast, housekeeping, air conditioning
Disapponiting. The room was a good size and pretty (some brokr en) marble in the bathroom but it was so HOT. The weather wasn't hot, but the room was. the ac appeared to not be working and when we opened a window , there was loud noise from the street below. Hot or loud was the choice. Also, the room wasn't serviced until we asked, on our last full day.. Tea and coffee making set up was very very poor. Hadn't realised that our package didn't include breakfast, but we didn't buy it because it was e19 each per day. This makes us think they don't want us to stay for breakfast. Surly bartender. Puts me off booking any of their other hotels elsewhere. Disappointing.

Hotel vecchio , stanza piccola e abbastanza sporca, qualità prezzo scarsa, non consiglio assolutamente.

Great location, tiny rooms need updating!

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff Comfy beds
Cons: More color on the walls! Rooms need updating Bathroom could have used more attention when cleaning. When we arrived the shower was dirty.
Location: Very close to the flower market and walking distance to pretty much everything.
I stayed for 5 nights with a friend while visiting. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful and beds were comfy. Room was VERY small and badly needed updating. Felt more like a hostel than a hotel. Location was excellent.

We loved this hotel. Reasonably priced and central

Posted Jun 5, 2015
Pros: Central location. Reasonable price. Really nice staff.
Cons: Nothing as far as I'm concerned.
Location: Very close to to the Flower Market and the brilliant restaurants in Rembrandt Square.
Loved it. We plan to go back to Amsterdam in September and will happily stay here again. We are also hoping to go with friends and will be stay here when we do.
