Pros: Close to Train station
Location: Next to red Light district. The Palace opposite was closed during our visit
The hotel staff gives us wrong information twice. Very disappointing. Location is perfect.

Pros: Location and a beautiful comfortable hotel to stay in .
Cons: I think to eat in there was quiet expensive .
Location: Location was excellent ,Body Works ,Grand Palace ,Madame Tussauds and lots of good restaurants.
We had a excellent stay in the Krasnapolsky. Arriving almost 5hours early than are booking in time ,we expected to just leave are luggage there until 3pm which is what time we where due. To are surprise the room was ready plus an added bonus we had a upgrade ,staff couldn't be more helpful, Hotel its self is beautiful and in a great location ,will most definitely go back.

Great LocationPosted Aug 12, 2014
Cons: Rooms need updating. Mattress mushy
The hotel was comfortable but the rooms not luxurious. they were a bit dated, but quite clean. A great location in a great city and a steal for the price we paid through Expedia.

Not perfect but this is the place in AmsterdamPosted Aug 11, 2014
Great location right at the Dam square in the center of the city. One to two blocks from two tram stations serving several lines. If you like walking, pretty much everything in the downtown area are within walking distance. Central train station is a several blocks down the main avenue although you probably would not want to drag a large suitcase through the sidewalks. The "red light district" is just next door together with a few “coffee shops”. This is a 4-star hotel; facilities are old and showing their age. Our room was in an adjoining building that required using the room key downstairs to enter. This was somewhat inconvenient particularly when your cardkey got corrupted and required another trip to the lobby. The pride of the hotel is the Winter Garden where you can have buffet breakfast for $45 . This is worth doing at least once. Alternatively you can visit the small shop across the Damstraat and get great pastries, sandwiches, and coffee.

Location: Near the Dam Square. Lots of activities in the square. The royal palace , central station, museum are nearby.
We had a great time . The hotel was located near the damrak and central station and you find almost everything around this area. Museums were nearby and shopping was also walking distance.

Pros: The location. Close to Central Station and within easy walking distance of many of Amsterdam's attractions.
Cons: The rooms need to be up-dated.
Really friendly and helpful staff at this clean but somewhat jaded hotel.

Hotel krasnapolskyPosted Jun 23, 2014
Stayed at the krasnapolsky as I have been to amsterdam many times and had seen the hotel is placed right in the centre perfect for sightseeing on foot, have stayed at nh hotels before and never had a concern, yes the rooms are small but in the centre of dam you don't expect anything else! The hotel was what I expected from a nh property clean well presented with good facilities! So yes I would recommend this hotel to family and friends

Central Hotel, but noisyPosted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: For a 5 star hotel it is looking a bit tired. I would rate it as 4 star and not 5.
Cons: Temperature of cooked breakfast
Location: Central. Canal cruises, Anne Frank house, plus other museums. Perhaps a bit too busy. The streets around the hotel were strewn with litter.
Disappointed in the breakfast. Although a good selection, the so called hot selection was not and was at best luke warm. There are too many stag and hen parties taking place. We would NOT visit this city again.
