Great friendly staff, close to the great museums

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: The hotel was close enough to walk to the museums
Location: the museums were close by ...shopping and dining just a few blocks away
Great place to ride a bike...not for the faint of heart, brush up on your biking skills if you haven't ridden in awhile, especially if you ride in the city.

Nice hotel in quiet location

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Cons: The Kettle in the bedroom was painfully slow took at least 10 mins to boil
Good position for Van Gogh and Rykmuseums with canal boats just at the end of the road. The 197 bus from the airport stops not far from the hotel which is realy handy. The buses and trams to the old town are quite close and run every few mins. Good place to stay away from the bustle of the main tourist area. there were lots of resturants a 5-10 mins walk away over the bridge opposite the Rykemuseum. The staff were helpful and the beds were comfortable and the hotel was very clean. It was a pleasant walk in any direction and we had a lovely 4 night break.

Uncomfortable

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: It had a good location
Cons: Customer service and maybe a dispensation for what we didn't received, i.e., air conditioning
Location: museums
We checked in and nobody said a thing about the hotel having a broken air conditioning unit. We went to our room and it was hot. When we called to inquire, the front desk basically said it was broken and said to open our windows and let it cool down that way. It was raining and very uncomfortable. We will never return to that hotel and have told numerous relatives touring Amsterdam NOT to stay there.

Nice hotel in the museum quarter

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Clean and tidy and relaxed. It had an iron and ironing board anglia great hair dryer in the room.
Cons: Price of the breakfast
We stayed in this hotel with our teenage family. It was in a great position near the museums and with easy access to the trams , so we found it quick and easy to get to and from the main train station or centre. There are loads of good restaurants near by. The breakfast was pricy , but we found a great cafe around the back of the hotel called the corner bakery and went there every morning.

Excellent hotel - highly recommend

Pros: Rooms were very large, easy bike rental, clean rooms, comfy bed, quiet area but only minutes from hustle and bustle.
Location: Less than 10 minutes walk away from Leidsplein which is full of bars, cheap and expensive restaurants, retail shops, casino and cafes.
Very spacious hotel, exactly what the description says. For people who want to be directly in the centre it may be a little bit far but we spent one day walking around most of Amsterdam and then hired bikes from the hotel for the other days. In the evenings we walked into the centre for drinks and meals. Just behind the Heineken Experience which is good fun to do, and round the corner from the hotel is a lovely and very cheap Italian restaurant where we returned to twice. The park by the Van Gogh museum is lovely too, very nice surrounding area. Room was very clean, hotel was safe and bed was extremely comfy. Massive rooms are situated on the 7th floor, but the other bedrooms are more than big enough - something that most other hotels in Amsterdam lack.

Modern hotel in quiet location.

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Spent two nights here in August. Good location in the museum district, very quiet and looking onto a lovely canal. Information from hotel said to get a 16 or 24 tram from Central station however the tram driver sent us off on a number 2 saying this was better! On leaving we found it easier to walk back to Central station that get a tram. Hotel is clean, rooms well equipped and staff were helpful.
