Nice hotel in a convenient area

Posted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, beautiful view and location.
Cons: The price $$$
Location: Lots to do near by! We found a WONDERFUL breakfast/lunch spot just around the corner of the main intersection, it was called CORNER BAKERY
This was a lovely hotel right in the Museum Quarter of Amsterdam. Overall a good experience. It had a beautiful view from the room window onto the canal.

Really nice hotel close to many wonderful museums

Posted Apr 20, 2014
Our visit to Amsterdam this time was solely to visit the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. The NH Museum Quarter has a great central location within walking distance of everything and in a great neighborhood. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the room was quiet and clean. Most of all, it had an elevator.

Great hotel for the museums

Posted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: Location, for what we wanted to do was excellent. very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing really stood out that could be improved.
Location: Excellent location for the three museums in that quarter. Close to Vondel Park which is lovely to walk around.
Great location for the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum. In a quiet street by a canal, lovely views if you get a room overlooking the canal, do ask, as it is well worth it. Reception staff friendly, helpful and informative. When we left we had to check in on-line and print off our boarding passes and the Receptionist was more than happy when we asked if she could do this for us. Breakfast is good and varied, but is on the expensive side. Did not eat or have a drink in the hotel so unable to comment on these facilities.

3 nights cultural stay

Posted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: Its position. Well situated for our needs, and quiet part of town.
Location: very walking close to Rijk, Van gogh and other museums. Close to canal cruise terminal. 10 min tram to out of town cruise buses and central station.
Very close to where we wanted, museums, canal cruises, park, trams. ALL Staff particularly extremely pleasant , curteous and helpful, on any subject. A delight.

Nice hotel, Great location.

Posted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: The hotel was modern and clean and our room on the 7th floor had a stunning panoramic view of the city through the huge slanted windows.
Cons: The wardrobe was from a dolls house and could not accommodate even the humblest baggage for 2 people. This was the only disappointment with this hotel
This hotel was an ideal base for visiting Amsterdam. The location beside the canal and only 20minutes walk to the city centre makes it a great choice for visitors.

Very convenient for museums

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Knowledgeable staff. Clean. View over canal was very Amsterdam-ish.
Cons: Better choice on the menu
Location: Close to museums. Nice walks along canalas. Recommend canal cruise to get the measure of the place.
This hotel was really well situated being easy walking distances from the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseums and an easy tram ride from the centre of Amsterdam. The reception staff were very helpful with directions to sights. They had tram passes and museum tickets available for sale.

Ideally placed for visiting museums

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Location, nice quiet area to escape to after a long day.
Cons: Rooms would benefit from a facelift.
Location: Van Gogh and Riyksmuseum a five minute walk away.Plenty of cafés across the road and a two minute walk for the trams to Dam Square.
We arrived at 11 to store our luggage before the 3pm check in time.we were informed that a room was ready and we were able to check and freshen up before we set off.The staff were extremely polite and helpful and supplied us with a more detailed and useful map than the one we had just spent €7 on.The room was large and well equipped with safe and ironing facilities but was a little well worn in areas. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on bar or food.Would certainly recommend for both value for money and helpfulness of staff.

Hotel staff knowledgeable and very helpful

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: It's location near the museums and only 2 blocks from a tram station.
Cons: The cost of the breakfast at 20 euros we found to be high. Of course if you pre-order the day before the cost is reduced to 15 euros.
Arriving exhausted we were made comfortable in the lobby and kept informed of when our room would be ready. We were given directions and a map to assist us in locating local museums and how to use the local tram to get to other areas of the city we wanted to explore. A canal was visible from our window.
