Lovely little hotel that makes accessing museums and other attractions easy. Our rooms looked out on the canal and the neighborhood beyond. So quiet! Steep stairs to to 4th floor might be challenging to the elderly. Did wish for a common room where one might retreat during the day if one was at the hotel and not able to spend time in the room. Cafes nearby are a good solution.

Easily assessible and walking distance to train station. Staff was very friendly. We lucked out with an early check in that made a huge difference from coming off a red eye flight. Unfortunately the elevator was out of service but the staff offered to carry our luggage up the stairs. Room was modern and everything worked as should.

Overall very good stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very clean and nice. Only real criticism would be the mattress was quite thin so less comfortable than it could have been. Otherwise we had a very nice stay here

Very clean and modern room. On the smaller side in terms of bathroom and room, but met our needs fine. Staff stored our bags until room was ready and after checking out too. Very walkable to main attractions. Good value for the price.

The hotel is located near Leidseplien, a very busy and popular area in Amsterdam. The hotel building is extremely old, has an elevator only for certain floors. The entry steps are steep and hard to navigate for anyone with any health issues. Our room was on the basement, very small with a small window. And it was far less expensive than other hotels. Interior noise was a problem.

Decent location in walking distance from bars and restaurants. Quite a long walk from central station so if your on foot you’ll need to plan for this however trams stop nearby. Room was small but clean, and easy access in and out of the hotel via the room card.

Was here for 4 days staying in amsterdam, easy walking distance, the rooms were tiny and ours was covered in mould. We found it to be freezing the heating wasnt working. We had to ask for fresh towels. Staff were friendly enough. Stairs are very narrow expected in amsterdam and there is a very small lift. Wouldnt recomend and dont think its value for money very expensive for the conditions.

Great service from both Receptionists working during our two night stay, could not do enough for us and looked after our luggage before check in/after check out. Stairs are steep and lift not working but thankfully we were on the first floor. Cleanliness was fine, heating in the room worked well, small room but exactly as expected and fine for two nights. Great location.

The room was a bit small but fits four people fine. We had two full size beds and a window view. You can hear the cars speeding by but the property provides ear plugs, plus the bed was facing the window so my head was right there. The stairwell is super steep but that’s expected. They have a cool lift, it’s not quite an elevator as it is a true lift. Fits 3 people, 4 if you like to squeeze but 2 if you have luggage. It’s walking distance to pretty much everything as it’s about 1 miles from the train station and everything is between the hotel and the station. 10 minutes to Leidseplein which has restaurants and shops and a great nightlife. 15 minutes to Anne Frank, Royal Palace, flower market, and museums. The hotel is small in nature but clean and in a safe location. The neighborhood is very cute and houses lots of restaurants throughout. Good hotel for the price I paid. Great location!

Tenía las espectativas muy altas de este hotel. El Staff que nos recibió, una dominicana muy amable llamada Yerlin, nos dio la bienvenida a las 10 de la noche, el proceso de check in fue rápido. La habitación, empecemos diciendo qué este no es el mejor hotel para personas que andan con mucho equipaje, mucho menos si es grande. Para entrar al hotel hay que subir como 10 escalones, empinados. Y al entrar al lobby, el cual es sumamente pequeño, entre el equipaje y uno, se le dificulta caminar. La habitación que escogimos fue en el basement, por cuestión de tamaño, pensé que era la mejor opción, y que una con vista al canal sería más pequeña, grave grave grave error. Para bajar al basement, no hay ascensor, se debe hacer por la escalera, lo cual no hubiese sido un problema, pero la escalera es sumamente empinada y bien estrecha, un peligro!!!!!! La habitación en si, no estaba del todo mal, pero es DEMASIADO PEQUEÑA, no hay un espacio para abrir maletas, obligatoriamente había que subirlas en la cama. Teníamos una ventana la cual no se podía abrir, lo cual hace que uno se sienta en un cárcel, el baño es ridículamente pequeño, con todo lo necesario, PERO MUY MUY PEQUEÑO, el agua caliente, viene y va. Pero lo que más nos impactó es que NO TENÍAMOS AIRE ACONDICIONADO, que luego comprobé en expedia que si lo especificaba, pero no me fije, tenía un abanico. The rooms are really small but also really comfortable. The staff is nice and incredibly helpful. My only complaint would be that the elevator doesn’t go all the way to the last floor and the stairs are very steep so access it’s not convenient with luggage.

Was worried after reading reviews that I wouldnt manage the stairs so phoned hotel who were really helpful and said they had a lift. Apart from the steep steps at entrance ( there is a handrail) I used the lift which is small but ok for 2 people and luggage. Got to hotel at 11am and was greeted by lovely receptionist who labelled our cases and said they would be in our room at 3pm waiting for us. Was given our room key and a map. She circled on map a few places we wanted to visit and told us where to get a tram. Room was very clean, nice size and had all we needed. Hairdryer, shower gel, tea, coffee, kettle, coffee machine and small fridge. No view from room but that didnt matter as we were only sleeping in the room. 5 minute walk to tram and found a great little cafe for breakfast. The receptionist also pre booked a taxi for us to airport which I would class as executive for €45. Would definately use this hotel if lucky enough to visit Amsterdam again!

Very uncomfortable and over-priced
There was a dirty teaspoon. The bathroom and bedroom were so tiny that it was very, very uncomfortable even though I am only 162.5cm tall. The room was very noisy - which the hotel had taken into account with earplugs - but the noise level was beyond what earplugs could block out even with the window closed. The lift going up was operated by the passenger and did not reach our floor. The stairs up to our floor were similar to going up a ladder and dangerous while holding our luggage, which we were left to take up there on our own without any offer of help. The place was completely over-priced and I would warn people against going to it. Our room was supposed to be a Small Canal View Comfort Room - and yes, there was a canal view, but it was tiny rather than small and CERTAINLY not comfortable. The only good thing about the hotel was the location.

Soft and comfortable bed and pillows, had all the appropriate ammenities, AC worked perfectly, good distance for walking and cycling into the centre, staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and modern. Walls were a little thin so you could hear the neighbouring rooms if they were loud, and don’t forget that it is Amsterdam - so the room was quite small. Be mindful if travelling with two large suitcases since we struggled and had no space to move.

Room was very tiny, couldn't walk around the bed. Bed comfortable and clean. Small patio outside inaccessible through a window, for older guests. Bathroom adequate but sink too shallow to rinse clothes and floor of shower very slippery. Noise from other rooms. No lobby. No vending machines, no mini bar, no grocery nearby. No breakfast. Many restaurants and a couple of coffee bars in walking distance. No desk. Walking distance to Museumplein a big plus.

Pleasant, comfortable stay near city center. Basic hotel without a lot of frills, but room was comfortable and clean with good closet space, in room coffee/tea. The staff were pleasant and accommodating and the hotel was close to many of the attractions we planned to visit. The rooms were a bit claustrophobic but had comfortable beds.

Considering how EVERYTHING in Amsterdam is expensive, I think this was a great place for the price. The most frustrating issue I had was that after paying in advance I was told we still had to pay a $42 'city tax". This might be the case and other hotels might do it but I think it's a scam when it's not in the price or told in advance.

You better be in shape!
Great location in the sense that you're far enough from the touristy areas to have some peace and quiet, while still close enough to easily walk there. We loved the location, and how easy it was to access the train station and the airport. I docked a star because the elevator was out of service and the only way up to the rooms was through this really narrow and steep staircase, which we were able to manage because we are relatively young, healthy, and able-bodied, and because we barely had any luggage... but if we had any sort of mobility issues, or a larger suitcase, we would have not been able to stay here. The rooms are also really, really small. We only had carry-on bags and there wasn't much space for them in the room. We are also people of average weight and size and still found the space pretty tight, so if you are a slightly larger person you could probably not move around the room comfortably, or between the bed and the bathroom door. Bottom line: if you are slim, fit, able-bodied, and traveling with very little luggage you'll like this hotel. If any of the categories above don't apply, you might want to look for a different place!
