“Great location.”
Stairs should not be underestimated-very steep. I dreaded leaving the hotel. Room was tiny and double bed was two beds shoved together without any attempt to make them seem other than 2single beds.
“The Secret inside the door entrance”
The Nadia hotel was a wonderful surprise. Once inside the door you are confronted by a steep winding stairway. But I learned later that this was the way the Dutch houses were built. But the stairs, the corridors (like a maze), the rooms and the lobby and breakfast room were all tastefully decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The best part was the room that was given to us (No. 7) It is cozy and romantic. it has a really nice window with a view of the canal. Thumbs up to Nadia Hotel.
“Nadia Hotel near Anne Frank House”
Was very impressed for the price. Staff were extremely kind and accomodating. Gave me a free soda or bottled water everytime I came in and had to climb those crazy canal house stairs! Good value for the money.
“Hotel Nadia”
The hotel was located in a very central area of Amsterdam and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, our room was on the 4th floor with no elevator and very steep stairs up. As a younger couple my husband and I were ok with this however, this could be a problem for others. Although the hotel service was great the rooms were very small and cramped. Even the breakfast area was crammed full of seating. They did offer free internet access in the rooms which as very convienient also.
“Hotel Nadia ticks all the boxes”
We just visited amsterdam for a few days break and although unfamiliar with other places to stay I really couldn't fault hotel nadia. We were offered excellent customer service including complimentary drinks on arrival and departure, breakfast included, excellent location within walking distance of the train station (even with luggage), a short walk to any touristy things to do in the day or evenings entertainments, yet in a quiet area. Small rooms but cosy. If you want large expansive rooms with all mod cons this isnt the place to stay, but if you're in amsterdam there is far too much to do to justify lounging around your hotel room watching tv. Most importantly, after debauched nights out, it's a very easy hotel to make your way back to!
“Frankly perfect”
The hotel was very clean, friendly and very accessible to all the sights I wanted to see (only a bloc from the Anne Frank house, 5 minutes to Dam Square and 25 minute walk to the Rijksmuseuum and the Van Gogh museum). The bathroom was a little small, but it included a shower.
“Get Ready to Climb Stairs”
My husband and I recently spent 3 days in Amsterdam. I didn't stay around the City Center based on reviews that it was busy and noisy. But if we go back again, I think I would stay in that area. The Nadia Hotel did work well for us although you do have to climb 2 flights of narrow and steep stairs to get to the lobby and then your room. And the rooms are very tiny. But the breakfast each morning was lovely in a pleasant breakfast room. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. There is a wonderful local restaurant around the corner named Bistro Bij Ons. We would have eaten there every night if we could have.
“Small, but Cozy”
The room was very, very small. It reminded me of a cabin on a cruise ship. But it was well organized and clean. The hotel staff was very helpful and very welcoming. Even though it was small, we liked staying here and would happily go back.
“The Friendliest Hotel”
I've stayed at some of the world's best and most expensive hotels, but the Nadia Hotel provided the friendliest customer service I've experienced to date. I booked this hotel because it was right next to all the main attractions of Amsterdam, from Dam Square to Anne Franke, and close proximity to the main train station and Van Gogh Museum. You want to be right in the heart of it all? Then stay at the Nadia! WARNING: I knew very well what it meant to check into a 2-3 star hotel in Amsterdam. Not many people do, so let me explain. This hotel can be compared to staying at a friends apartment. This "friend" knows everything about the city. The only difference here is you get your own shower, people to help with your bags and a consistently friendly staff. The rooms are a bit tight, but for the price and location, this hotel is a true find. If you're lucky enough to be reading this, then consider this your lucky day. Stay at the Nadia and I guarantee you'll be writing a review like this after your stay. BEST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: The airlines lost my baggage. When I got to the Nadia hotel and informed them, they took it upon themselves to keep track of my bags progress and make sure it got to my room upon arrival. That brought a whole new meaning to customer service. PERSONAL NOTES: If you go there...make sure to say hi to "Mo" ;) He'll make you feel right at home. Oh, and have fun walking up the stairs. This place is not just a hotel, it's part of a memory for me and my wife!
“Great stay, good location, friendly staff.”
My wife and I were in Europe on business and had a night stay in Amsterdam due to flights. We decided to go downtown and see the city. Hotel Nadia was priced great, and centrally located. We took the train from the airport to the central station, then a tram to the hotel. The stairs are super steep, but the staff volunteered the lift our luggage. The room was quiet and comfortable. We did not have ac, but didn't need it as the weather was cool. Breakfast was a simple buffet of breads, cheeses and meats, which were suitable. There is a pancake shop just a few doors down, and several other food locations near bye. Ann Franks house is just around the corner. The staff was very friendly, offering maps and city guides and a complementary drink upon arrival. Would stay again!

Canal Ring, Amsterdam, Netherlands: The classic Amsterdam image of stately canals, the Canal Loop is principally the Herengracht and Keizersgracht, lined with gracious tall 17th and 18th-century houses. Some of these are now museums, most notably the eccentric Kattenkabinet. The Amstel is a more down-to-earth waterway, lined with houseboats and famous for its classic much–photographed Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge). The floating Flower Market is also a much-loved canal feature.
