“Good hotel for the money.”
The hotel is quite far from the Central Station, however that is the only minus I could see in it. It's on the canal, right in front of Blue Canal Tours Stop, close to Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum. Rooms are nice, really good bed and a huge bathroom. Very satisfied overall. Some things like WiFi and breakfast you have to pay extra, but after all it's EU:) You have to pay extra for everything:)
“Pluses and Minuses”
The Pros: Fantastic location for tourists or holiday/business mix; large room by standards of older European hotels; very helpful front desk staff; high-quality modern furnishings; one of the best beds I've ever slept in. If I were going to Amsterdam for a romantic break of more than 3 days, I'd want to spend at least half of a day in that bed with the balcony doors open and hearing the trams passing by. The Cons: Room maintenance should be better - a bathroom drain (the shower I think) is not properly trapped, resulting in an unpleasant odor in the bathroom; the Asian-influenced "modern" style of the rooms, with dark walls and silk screens of Audrey Hepburn (or other '50s and '60s celebrities) has become passe; those passing trams that might add to the romance of an afternoon interlude may be decidedly less romantic at 6:00 a.m. They didn't bother me, but light sleepers may want to ask for a room on the other side of the building.
“So comfortable!”
I used the unpublished rate finder and got a great deal on this hotel. The restaurant is a terrible value for the cost for breakfast. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Beds were so comfortable and exactly what we needed after a long day of flying. If you go to museums, use the concierge to get tickets. Lines get long fast and with a ticket you can walk right in.
“Convienent location”
My wife and I spent two nights at the Park Hotel prior to taking a cruise. I chose this hotel based on location and the fact it was a few dollars cheaper then the nearby Marriott. Based on other reviews I took an Executive room so we would have a completely separate bathroom. I found the room to be large enougth, although not quite as large as an American hotel, and the bathroom was as advertised. I reserved the room with the non-refundable rate and paid for it several months early saving some money. The staff was helpful but not overly friendly. Because we had an overnight flight from the U.S. we arrived at the hotel at around 9:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning. We were first told that our room would not be ready for 2 hours. The hotel did check our luggage. When we came back at around 11 we were told check in time was at 2. We did get a room at 1. The concierge was very helpful in helping us choose a restaurant for dinner which was not in the tourist area. He was eager to help and was very cheerful while working with us. As mentioned in other reviews internet access was very expensive at 19.50 Euros a day. I did not use it. I would recommend this hotel for anyone vacationing in Amsterdam.

Nice friendly staff, clean but very small rooms. Close to best part of town
“Would stay here again, but......”
The staff was very pleasant and helpful, except for the housekeeping staff. We asked more than once upon arrival for a third bath towel (there were three of us in the party), as well as to have the pull out couch bed made up, and when I left an empty tissue box in the bathroom to be replaced, it wasn't. The third day, there was again no third towel. We misplaced our car key, and while looking for it under the bed, I found a remote, some nuts, and a rectangular brown thing I am afraid to know about. Momo was excellent, but overpriced, even for Amsterdam; however, the food and drinks were excellent. Overall, the staff was helpful and pleasant, even directing us to a much less expensive place to park our car for the time we were there. Hopefully, the housekeeping staff will improve.....
“Busy area - convenient but noisy and trafficky”
The room was very small for American standards, but fairly typical for European standards. Area was removed from the center, so don't stay here if you want to be right in the center of Amsterdam. But it was still a relatively easy walk in to the center - maybe 20 minutes.
“Planning my next visit”
Park Hotel Amsterdam was great hotel. The hotel is extremely modern, clean, and the staff is ok. They are not as friendly as other Dutch people I encountered, but that was not a huge drawback. Only other complaint I had was the room I reserved was not available, so the hotel staff upgraded me. The hotel charged me for the upgrade, which I found strange. Other than that, the hotel in a nice area - a few steps away from the Van Gogh Museum and the high-end shopping area. It is 30 minute bus ride from Shiphol airport, and the bus drops you off 1 block away from the hotel entrance.
“quiet, upscale hotel”
The rooms were great, standard room was a little small by american standards but def standard for a european room. Very clean, great location to walk to nearby shops, cafes and bars.
“First Time in Amsterdam”
This is one of the few times Ive had absolutely no complaints about a hotel room. The location of the hotel couldnt be better, the service was exemplary, and the room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The only thing to note was that we couldnt not find the remote for the TV, but we spent so much time in the city when we got back to the hotel we were too tired to watch TV anyway. Beware: As with most hotels in Europe there is a charge for wi-fi.
