“Great hotel - excellent location”

Had a good stay in this hotel. Upgraded to an Executive room as we decided that we wanted a door on the toilet ! Did have a problem with the Air Con after the first night of three, called reception and they sent someone up within 10 minutes. They couldn't fix it and put us in a Junior Suite for the next 2 nights. Great location for Museums, canal trip (across the road) and Vondelpark.

“Fantastic location”

Easy access to anywhere you want to go. Very helpful and accomodating staff. Would stay there again if I went back to Amsterdam.

“Wonderful hotel, will be great when restoration completed”

This hotel scored top marks for its location which is on the more refined, quieter side of the city! Being right next to the canal, the Reichsmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Vondelpark its location couldn't be better. The superior room was really clean and comfortable and the delightful balcony and tea and coffee (though quite minimal) were very welcome. The street was quite noisy at times due to the tramway passing directly by, but this was not a problem. The open plan bathroom was unique, but not at all practical - the bowl style sink splashed water everywhere and the shower flooded water out filling the floor of toilet cubicle next door to about half an inch deep! We found using a rolled up towel like a draft excluder inside the shower cubicle door worked reasonably well but didn't prevent flooding entirely! Still, a lovely room with coloured bed head lights and flat screen TV to amuse yourself with.

“Would definitely go back!”

Park Hotel is in a great location close to restaurants and museums. There was some renovations going on during my stay but I was warned ahead of time and the renos posed no problems with my stay. My room was very modern looking and comfortable - was very pleased! The only possible negative (and a minor one) is that some people may find the street a bit noisy. I would definitely go back!!

“It was stunning!!”

The Park Hotel in Amsterdam was a beautiful place to stay and in an amazing location as it was next to a canal and also no more than 10-15 minutes walk from Dam square. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful and the rooms and facilities are perfect!

“Will be back next year for sure !!!”

On enetering the lobby the bellman was very helpful with the suitcases. The two girls at the front desk was extremely helpful and willing to assist with questions regarding tours etc ( the rooms were also upgraded courtesy of them, two rooms were booked) . The rooms were very clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable, thei bathroom was a nice size. The view from the room on the 4th floor overlooked the Hard Rock Cafe which was across the street and the hotel was in great proximity to a wide variety of excellent restaurants and the Heineken Museum which was a 5 minute walk. The restaurant on the ground floor seemed to be always packed and reservations were needed as early as possible for dinner. Their breakfast was good. The checkout was quick and hastle free and while we had breakfast they brought our luggage down and arranged a transfer to the airport. All in all it was a great hotel.

“Planning my next visit”

Park Hotel Amsterdam was great hotel. The hotel is extremely modern, clean, and the staff is ok. They are not as friendly as other Dutch people I encountered, but that was not a huge drawback. Only other complaint I had was the room I reserved was not available, so the hotel staff upgraded me. The hotel charged me for the upgrade, which I found strange. Other than that, the hotel in a nice area - a few steps away from the Van Gogh Museum and the high-end shopping area. It is 30 minute bus ride from Shiphol airport, and the bus drops you off 1 block away from the hotel entrance.

“Very impressed indeed”

As mentioned, the reception is a stunning showpiece of cool, ultra-modern design. The location is fantastic - 2 minute walk to Leidseplein and walk anywhere else in under half an hour. The staff are efficient, helpful - faultless really. Our room was great too, super clean and very smart - BUT it was an executive room (with the bathroom ensuite, everything just refurbished and a canal view). We can tell from other review sites that there are other rooms with the bathroom inside the bedroom and many negative comments about this arrangement. So be careful which sort of room you book. But we loved this hotel, would highly recommend it and can't think of anything to criticise except that the wi-fi internet access is very overpriced and really should be free

“Great Amsterdam view from room”

We arrrived early and got an upgraded room with an outstanding view of the canal. The room was stylish, clean, and well laid out and had everything you would need (iron, hairdryer, toiletries, mini bar etc.). The bed was very comfortable. The surrounding area was great to wander around. There were shops, cafes, bars and restaurants minutes away. The hotel was fairly central and we found we could walk to all the sites quite easily. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. I would definately recommend this hotel.

“highly recommended!”

the hotel is in a great location! a 1/2 block away from great shopping, a couple blocks to the Tram and museums! The hotel was also very clean and modern. Staff was especially friendly and helpful. I particularly enjoyed the open concept in our room and balcony! Would highly recommend!
