Better to take something less central but nicer
Pros: Central location y Rembrandt Square - with a lot of shops, restaurants and bars around. Close to a tram station that goes to AMS central. Cons: very (very!) noisy. Not only that there's a lot of noise coming from the street, but also the walls are super thin. Rooms are tiny, with uncomfortable beds. For that price, better to take something less central but nicer.

Great location near Rembrandt Square. 20min walk to central station. Stairs are a bit steep so large luggage could be a pain in the a$$. Bathrooms are shared, but I believe there are 2 bathrooms for 3 rooms. I was never waiting to use a bathroom. This hotel is also a lot cleaner than some of the reviews would have me believe. There is a club nearby and I was able to hear the pounding bass. Wasn't that loud, but might be too much for those that have trouble sleeping.

Great budget hotel in the middle of the action!
Right in the center of Rebrandt Square, very busy nightlife! Great staff, friendly and helpful! hotel is basic, but very clean and comfy. Beds are super comfortable! Good walking distance to hot spots, museums and redlight district etc. Is above a smoking coffee shop, so if not your thing, the stong smell going in and out and on the lower levels of hotel may put you off.,

Perfect location, comfy bed, and good shared bathroom facilities. Beware if you struggle with stairs, as it could be a challenge (depending on where your room is located) due to a tight spiral staircase.

The hotel is very small with steep stairs. The food is very small with no closet and few drawers with no hangers. It was very noisy and required ear plugs to sleep. There was about 16 inches between the beds.

One night in the heart of Amsterdam
The hotel is located in the center of Amsterdam in front of the famous Rambrandt square, few steps from tram stop, where you can walk to most of known places and attractions of Amsterdam. The view on the square is wonderful. Breakfast is very good and rooms are small but comfortable.

Disgusting, unprofessional, ripoff, money loss
This was the biggest mistake to book with these guys, unprofessional, rude, ripoff, they gonna show one price on booking, but when you get there they charge you extra. Disgusting rooms, I requested 2 bed room, but gave us a single bed room when I ask for that my booking wasn’t for single room they said we don’t have any other room. Charged me for double bed room. I had to sleep on the floor. Please stay away. And don’t book through hotel.com these guys can’t help you as well. My money was wasted. The breakfast was disgusting only bread and jam and butter and 10 boiled eggs for the whole hotel. I totally regret for this booking. My money is wasted. I will never ever book with these guys again. The biggest mistake I have ever done.

We are sorry to hear about your bad experience. It's certainly not how we want our guests to feel and experience their stay in Amsterdam. We are sad to hear you won't be back so we can prove that the mishap was exceptional, but we put a extra matras in the room. And our breakfast always has cheese salami ham different kind of cornflakes fruits croissants bread yogurts drinks like coffee tea milk orange jus.

For the price, was a good base for a day in Amsterdam. Couldn't get much closer and was pretty quiet and clean.

Good location
The location of this hotel was perfect. Very central. Right on the tram line. Walking distance to everything. And whenever we got lost all we had to do was ask where Rembrandt Square was—locals could direct us. On the downside the room was just a bit bigger than the bed. Shared bathroom with three other rooms which never was a problem. Very steep stairs. A lack luster sitting area by reception if you wanted to relax without going out—not relaxing. And if you like the smell of marijuana this is the place for you—directly over a “coffee shop”. And the room did not come cheap. But the staff was sweet and helpful and the free breakfast was basic but tasty and satisfying.

The hotel is near the touristy areas in Amsterdam. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was good and included with the room. The carpet could have been cleaner. Expedia did not mention that bathroom would be shared and my room would be on the 5 floor of a walk-up building. I didn't have a problem with this, but I think some people might not like it.

Perks vs. convenience
Stayed here one night. The location is perfect as there’s a lot of bars, clubs, restaurants, and coffee shops right by the hotel. The hotel also offers lots of discounts for different activities. However the room was a bit small especially for 3 people, one bathroom on my floor didn’t have a working shower. You’re getting lots of perks with the hotel, just at the cost of some convenience.

Central location
It is very convienient location, easy to discover the city, but also easy access via tram. The hotel has no elevator and the reception is on the first floor, not easy to carry your luggage. The breakfast is started at 9, which is late! And serving a cafe in the next door.

Only if you need to be on Rembrandt Plein!
This is well located - perhaps too well located because the area around the hotel is heavily used by the kind of tourists that litter the pavements outside the bars with cigarette ends. The exterior pavement was filthy. The room itself is clean but small, with hardly any storage and no room services. OK for a night if you value being right in the centre. The reception staff were helpful. Breakfast was surprisingly good but was served in one of the shabby cafe bars under the hotel.

Great location!!!
Tons of awesome cafe/restaurants surrounding the square, SUPER easy access to the tram. It's literally directly above a coffeeshop so expect the smell to reach your room if the window is open

We booked the twin room through a booking agency but when we turned up they had the double booked for us. This is a common problem with booking agencies, and it is not the hotel's fault. We said that we would prefer a twin room so they upgraded us to the apartment suite free of charge. The apartment was very tidy and modern, had a very nice view of the square from the window. The shower is nice and hot, the beds are comfy, the room was the perfect temperature. The staff were very helpful and friendly, always greeted us with a smile when we walked in. The best thing about this place was the location, you cannot get any more central than this place. If you're looking for a weekend break going to restaurants, bars and clubs this is the best location. It is literally about a 2-5 minute walk from the main clubs. Very good value for the price, had a great time :)

Ok basic accommodation.
-The staff were friendly and on 24 hours so no problems there. -The room i stayed in was probably 2 star but was clean and the bed was actually fresh and tidy, fresh towels in room but the facilities were very basic which is what i expected. -The shared bathrooms are small and clean... unless youre the last one in in the morning. -There is music playing up till prob 1am but this wasnt loud enough, in my room, to bother me but if youre sensitive to noise then this will probably affect you. -If youre looking for very basic accommodation in a central setting this is would be ok for you, any more than that and youll need to look elsewhere. Very nice view from the window.
The hotel is above clubs and smoke shops, can be loud at night. The stairs are pretty steep, the bathrooms are small but clean.

Excellent location
For a short stay and relatively limited budget, the combination of the very central location and pricing of this hotel make it an excellent choice, as long as you have two strong legs and aren't accompanied by young children. The staff were friendly and helpful - if they didn't know the answer they were quite willing to pick up the phone and find out - and the noise level was low, despite being situated directly over Rembrandt Square. Minor problems in the showers should be looked at (where to hang your clothes, etc.) and the card key system for entering our room had to be reset a couple of times but, all in all, these problems were very minor in comparison to a very satisfactory stay.

Basic but very clean
You get what you pay for, fantastic location, so central.... breakfast was ok, enough to start your day, the rooms are very basic, however all you need as we spent all day/evening out... bathrooms where very clean however dnt expect a power shower as the water was very temperamental.... overall an ok stay , top floor was great where we stayed as it was very quiet.....
