Great location in the centre of dam square

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Cleaners fertilities location
My experience would have been second to none had we have not been sleeping next to the cleaning store cupboard Which means every morning we was woke at 6.30am to the cleaners rummaging around in the cupboard for their hoover / mop bucket etc , and chatting out loud Never the less we complained and was offered a free nights stay at any renaissance hotel , So make sure when you book your rooms isn't next to the cleaners abode.

Fair hotel with that price

Close to the train central station. But the room is pretty small. Extra charge in addition to the room fee.

Nice hotel - very central and close to station.

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and made lots of helpful recommendations which helped make our stay more memorable.
Location: Very central. Five minutes walk to station or for canal tours and right on the tram lines - a great location.
An excellent hotel. The staff could not be more helpful and the hotel was very central - close to the town and to the central station. The room was clean and spacious and there was an excellent breakfast selection.

A great all-rounder with a special something!

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Club room benefits
Location: - 5 minutes walk from Centraal station - 5 minutes walk from Dam Square and Red Light District - 10 minutes walk from Anne Frank House
- Good location; a five minutes walk from Centraal station. Nearest attractions are Anne Frank House (10 mins), Dam Square (5 mins) and the Red Light District (5 mins). Hotel is just off the main tram lines. - Friendly, welcoming staff; map of the area on arrival was useful and free umbrella hire on rainy days was ideal. - Clean, comfortable and contemporary rooms. Book a club room to make your stay more special - the club lounge made our holiday! - Great breakfast and a decent selection of restaurants opposite the hotel.

Thank you for The Lizzie's

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Everything. Location, Staff, Facilities it was all wonderful.
Cons: Nothing!!!
Location: It was central for everything. Left the whole of Amsterdam at your feet.
We arrived very hot and uncomfortable from the journey on the train from the airport, standing room only with temperature in excess of 30degrees. The reception at the hotel were absolutely wonderful, even though we were several hours early for check-in they managed to get us a room very quickly enabling us to refresh ourselves and go out to enjoy this beautiful City. The room was beautiful and looked out over the roof tops. The air conditioning was gorgeous we kept popping back to the hotel for a rest and a cool, total bliss. The lovely ice machine at the end of the hall was very welcome also. The bar downstairs had the most lovely steward who made the most amazing cocktails. I am now addicted to the Lizzie which is a mix of Amaretto, Chambord and Pineapple juice (A real must try). I would recommend this hotel to any & everyone. All of the staff were fantastic and the R Navigator was superb, offering recommendations, advice and directions to lots of fabulous places. Go and enjoy. Thank You to everyone at the Renaissance for an amazing 20th anniversary break.
