Don't expect too muchPosted May 13, 2015
Cons: get what you pay for
Location: great location
You may book a room of a certain size and configuration, when you get to the hotel they have trouble finding your room even though they have your money for months

Close enough to everythingPosted May 12, 2015
Simple check in, wireless signal is elusive, room is good enough, close to everything that's happening in Amsterdam. All within a 15 min walk. Great. Breakfast was included and decent enough, no coffee or tea in the room but there's a vending machine downstairs or your have about 3 Starbucks within 5 min walk. If you want a lie in take ear plugs, as the windows are old and street noise can be more obvious or all to move. Night time is fine once the evening winds down. The lift is slow and the stairs are steep, a feature common in Amsterdam. The good outweighs the not so good.

Great location and helpful staffPosted May 7, 2015
Location: Within easy walking distance of many of city's attractions, and near a central tram stop.
This is a charming old hotel right by Dam Square. We spent 3 nights there and found it most convenient. Our room was a little small but clean, quiet and comfortable. There are elevators, but there are still a few stairs to get to some rooms. The breakfast buffet, included in the price, was very good. The lobby and dining area are both attractive. We were especially impressed with the front desk staff who were always pleasant and helpful in so many ways.

Best Hotel for our needs!Posted May 6, 2015
Pros: Personnel, location, breakfast, rooms
Location: Right next to Dam Square Walking Distance to the museums, Anne Frank's House, catching a canal boat ride, stores, restaurants, botanical gardens
Rho Hotel is centrally located - we walked everywhere or we were close enough to walk to Central Station to catch a train for away from Amsterdam. Hotel personnel were exceptional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Room was comfortable, loved looking out of the windows onto all the roofs and sights of the city.

Nice hotel in centre of townPosted May 3, 2015
Quiet hotel even though in centre of action. Beds too soft and pillows no good - breakfast was great

Convenient locationPosted Apr 28, 2015
Cons: Rooms basic, small, no drawers, only hanging space.
Location: Dam Square. Canals, fast food restaurants, walking distance from Ann Frank house, central station, red light district.
Very convenient location for exploring Amsterdam. Close to Dam Square, walking distance from Central Station. Lots of fast food outlets close to hotel, need to explore further for 'better' restaurants. Good buffet breakfast. Attractive hotel foyer. Helpful, friendly reception staff.

Very well situated, near Royal PalacePosted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Very well situated, easy access and in walking distance to most major visiting sites. The personnel was excellent always prepare to help and guide you
Location: A few steps from Royal Palace. Walking distance Red district, Central Station, Basilic St Nicolas, Anne Frank's house and much more.
Enjoyed my 3 night stay at the Rho Hotel April 2015. Stayed in single room 345, clean and quiet. Fiendly staff and walking distance to everything. Visited the surrounding streets and canals, Red light district, the Royal Palace, the Basilic of St Nicolas, Anne Frank's house (better to go after 7:30pm, less waiting time), Jordan's market and the Maritimes museum. Took the bus (5 euro - 1 way ticket) to go visit the Zaans Schans village - a must see! Followed with a 4 day bicycle Tulip Tour with Hat Tour excursion through the city and country flower fields of Harlems and Spaardam. Visited a Cheese farm, a working windmill, flower auction and much more. Don't mist the Muiderslot Castle in Muiden (Took the Metro 54, 53, or 51 from Central Station to Amstel Station then bus 322 or 327. Follow Castle direction, about 8 min walk (13.50 euro).
