Definitely Grand.

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: Ambiance was fabulous. Nice details. Thoughtful staff.
Cons: The layout of the standard room is tight with a seating group at the end of the bed.
Location: Quiet and central.
From the property's location through the front door and beyond, there's nothing to complain about. Pay for one of the larger rooms - it's worth it.

Excellent hotel, attentive in every way!

Posted Dec 13, 2014
Stayed here for my birthday for long weekend on 28th of November. On arrival at the hotel we were upgraded to a junior suite due to my birthday, which came with its own butler! The room had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. We were attended on every need, with complementary drinks on arrival to beautiful spa facilities. Room was beautiful , hotel definitely meets 5 star standards. Ate at The Bridges Restaurant on site, which met up to its Michelin star standards. A beautiful hotel and restaurant that I would recommend to anyone and I will stay here again next time Im in Amsterdam.

Luxury hotel, centrally located

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: Comfortable and e caption all staff.
Cons: Nothing!
A great hotel, went to celebrate my 40th bday. Hotel went out of their way to help my partner organise some lovely surprises. Could not have been any better. Food a bit pricey, but with so many options nearby, not a problem. Ideally locTed for easy walking to everything that Amsterdam has to offer.

Fabulous hotel full of art and history

Posted Dec 9, 2014
Pros: Everything, the staff, location, facilities, comfort and history
Cons: Nothing
Location: Everything within easy walking distance - approx 10 mins to Anne Frank house, 7mins to Rembrant House and flower market etc.
We were expecting this to be a good hotel experience but have to say that it exceeded all expectations. We were treated as if we were very special guests from the start. At reception we were advised that we were to be offered an upgrade to a junior suite and invited to receive a cocktail at the bar in the evening which we discovered was a meet and greet of the hotel management with guests to understand their views of the hotel. The room itself was extremely comfortable (although a little warm for my liking and we did struggle with managing the heating - but that's a minor gripe). Lovely comfortable bed, very large with good linen. Bonus was the access to a large number of British terrestrial TV channels - which we were able to watch on the screen in the bathroom whilst in the bath. Fabulous Hermes toiletries and plenty of them. We received a gift each day from the hotel, fruit and fudge one day, waffles another and a lovely card and a pair of Delft style miniature clogs on our last day. Another bonus was the historical tour at 11am every day, guests get to see and hear the history of the marble in the reception areas, the incredible painted walls and ceilings in the Marriage Room, the fabulous carvings in the Council Room and on one of the landings, the stunning stained glass windows plus the modernistic mural on the concrete wall at the entrance to Bridges restaurant by artist Appel. It is in a great location really quite central and we walked everywhere.
