Central location ideal for exploring Amsterdam.Posted Oct 26, 2014
Pros: Helpful staff
Cons: See above.
Unfortunately the hotel reception had booked us into a room which did not match the website criteria of a luxury room - no bath. Moved rooms the next day to what was described as a free upgrade to a suite - strangely a smaller room but yes with a bath, but not everything worked in the room and it seemed ideal for 1 person rather than a couple. Great hotel for location and all staff very helpful, just took 2 calls every time we need to ask for a service.

Surprise Birthday CelebrationPosted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: Loved the spa and pool and the general ambiance of the hotel.
Cons: Location of tea/coffee machine on a shelf - was a little too high up for filling with water etc. Felt that 30 Euros for breakfast was too much money.
Location: Walking distance of the station, shops, restaurants and canal boats etc. Red Light District very close by so maybe hotel not suitable for a family
Booked this hotel as a surprise birthday celebration for our friend which I mentioned when checking in and when we returned to the hotel in the evening, there was a bottle of champagne and 4 glasses awaiting us. Extremely kind gesture on behalf of the hotel and very much enjoyed! We booked two twin rooms but when we went up to our rooms, one of them had a double bed in it, however, this was soon rectified by the hotel who were most apologetic.

Three days in AmsterdamPosted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: I have covered this
Cons: I have covered this
Location: I have covered this
With a friend for a cultural visit. The hotel was an excellent choice, but on reflection I think, because of our age, we would choose one closer to the transport (bus) routes. We would also have preferred one closer to the shops and cafes in order to have had the opportunity to ring the changes, notwithstanding that the hotel offered superb facilities - but breakfast at 30 euros was a trifle expensive for those who breakfast lightly. A shuttle from the airport woukd have saved 50-70 euros though a taxi to the station and from there to the airport was probably a better bet. But the hotekl is close by the river boat terminal - and that is a great boon. The staff were unfailingly charming and helpful.

Luxury hotel right in the centrePosted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: Everything! The location, the building, the staff, the food.
Cons: Due to location, the hotel is very close to nightlife which some people may not enjoy as you can hear this in your room. Perhaps better soundproofing.
Location: Within walking distance to Amsterdam Centraal train station and you can easily walk to all attractions.
This hotel is in the perfect location to explore Amsterdam. The furthest we walked anywhere was about 25 minutes. Everything can be access by foot and the hotel staff are more than happy to help with any request. All staff from the front desk, concierge, waiters and restaurant staff to the housekeepers and butlers were very attentive and always smiling and glad to help.

Very Nice HotelPosted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Very nice plush hotel, great staff.
Cons: Could have a cheaper place to eat within the hotel.
Location: Near Dam square and hop on hop off bus.
Great place to stay, very posh. Staff could not be more helpful. Very central for Dam square etc. A little expensive, but knew that on booking. Would stay there again.
