Airport hotel, sort of.

Pros: modern, clean room
Cons: Shuttle service; also, the room mini fridge had a bottle of mineral water, nothing else. I then checked the quality of local tap water on Google.
Location: Not much nearby, 23 Euro cab ride from Schiphol; Amsterdam centrum still far.
Hotel advertised free shuttle, to and from airport. My wife and I waited at the appropriate shuttle marker for an unusually long time. Other airport hotel shuttles had already made three circuits when the van arrived, and we were immediately overwhelmed by a large number of business travelers who had been accumulating at the same location. The van filled, standing room only, and there were still a significant number of travelers waiting to board the next shuttle, for which we again waited... and waited... and finally took a taxi to the hotel, at a cost of 23 Euros. We complained at check in, the manager asked whether we had a taxi receipt to prove our story. At this point, I told her that I would share my experience on Twitter and she immediately offered to give us a voucher for our taxi expense, which we applied to dinner.

Pros: Very clean, comfortable efficient transit to/from airport
Cons: Lower the price for breakfast. We were disappointed we could not order from the menu and had only the option of the buffet.
Location: Stayed two days. Used the shuttle to get train/airport. Easy in/out of Amsterdam and if we stayed longer would have used as a base for trip to Delft
Easy check in, friendly staff, well appointed rooms, very clean, comfortable and for being so close to airport very quiet. This was a two stopover for us. We loved the regular shuttle to schiphol to catch train to town and when our stay was done, trip to airport was quick.

Stayed after a long flight from tanzania.

Pros: The hotel had a free shuttle taking us to the city centre. Staff suggested we take train to the airport and then shuttle back to hotel.
Location: Near the airport with free shuttle service.
We arrived before posted check in time. Staff were able to find us a room at a small extra charge. We so very appreciative.

One Night Stay

Pros: Friendly staff. Comfortable room.
Cons: There are no food stores near the hotel.
Location: The hotel is located on the other side of the airport. There are no other businesses nearby. You will need to shuttle back to the airport to shop.
Due to change of planes and a flight the next morning we needed one nights lodgings. The hotel has a large shuttle bus with underneath luggage compartments that runs every 30 minutes. It's only a 10 minute drive to the hotel. Meals in the pub cost less and the food was good. The room was great. Clean. Great bedding. Unique furniture features with iron, ironing board, tea pot and cups all stored in a nice looking chest. Very comfortable room. The staff were friendly and efficient and spoke excellent english if needed.

Nice hotel surpassed our expectation.

Pros: Modern design, clean comfy room, friendly staff, close to airport.
Cons: More food choices.
Location: Very close to airport off the freeway, I don't think there is much to do in terms of entertainment or shopping and dining.
We chose this hotel because it is close to airport and has free shuttle bus. The building is quite new, modern design interior and room amenities. Downstairs lobby area is spaciousI and comfy, with a few restaurants including a fancier one and one sports bar type restaurant. We were upgraded to a executive room with free drink coupons and free snacks. The hotel staff are friendly and professional. When we went to dinner, it was quite late in the evening and seems only the sports bar and the lounge are serving food. We ended up eating at the sports bar, it was OK, I wished there's more choice of healthier food, most food seems to be deep fried. Overall, it's a very pleasant stay at the hotel.

A nice place to stay.

Pros: Clean, quiet and comfortable.
Cons: Internet facilities.
Location: It is an airport hotel but free shuttle allows coming and going to centre of amsterdam very easy.
Have just returned from a 3 night stay at the steigenberger and have only good things to say. Stayed in a superior room and found it to be very clean and comfortable. No noise whatsoever. Staff were very polite and helpful. The free wifi was a bonus. I needed to use a computer and printer and their internet centre did not seem to be working - I was invited to use a staff computer and printer which was appreciated. Did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the food - did enquire about breakfast but felt the 27.50 euros was a bit steep. Free shuttle bus service was excellent and we used it every day to and from the airport/train station - from leaving hotel in morning and going to airport/train we were in amsterdam centre in 40 mins. On last day we were able to check out and store luggage at hotel until later in day which was great.

Convenient for RAI

Nice, clean hotel. Convenient for RAI. Only down side is staff in the bar are really quite poor for this class of hotel. It is not unusual to sit for 20 minutes and not be able to attract a servers attention. Rarely will a server approach and ask if you would like another drink / order some food ect, it is always down to the customer to wave them over (which is not always easy). The restaurant is expensive but good - service is much better in here. Had problem getting taxi into town, ordered one, was told it would be 30 mins, after 45 minutes, queried where taxi was and was told it had arrived and had taken some one else (it is the hotels own taxi service) had to wait another 10-15 minutes for replacement to arrive.

Fabulous last minute surprise

Pros: Everything! Food was fantastic. Service was wonderful. Rooms were beautiful and fully outfitted, wanting for nothing.
Location: Didn't have time to venture out, but with the shuttle, it is very convenient from the airport/train station.
We were victims of the Air France strike and ended up taking the train to Amsterdam to catch our uncancelled flgiht back to Canada. In a rush Sat am I was booking trains tickets, cancelling hotels and rebooking hotels and this one showed up looking nice near the airport in Amsterdam. We arrived at the train station/airport at 11pm. The hotel had a shuttle and it was perfect timing to catch it as we arrived. The driver was nice and funny, teaching us a few Danish words. Once at the hotel the clerk was friendly, funny, helpful and efficient. Also letting us know the sports bar was open until 4:30am. Perfect! The rooms were clean, roomy, confortable, a nice change from of the overpriced rooms on France we stayed at earlier in the trip. For the price, we were amazed. We dumped off our luggage and headed for the sports bar. Fun atmosphere, busy, the waiter was a riot, good english, great info. The meal at midnite was outstanding. Fun guests, great service, good price, we had fun and decided then and there we would love to come back to Amsterdam ann would have no problem staying there. Brunch was equally as amazing, loved the champagne and OJ. The variety was fantastic, best brunch I have seen in many years. Some local dishes, it was perfect. This hotel made a frantic few days end great. Would recommend 100% Thanks so much!

Wonderful hotel with fine service

Pros: Service, amenities
Location: The hotel offered a free shuttle bus to and from the airport. This was very useful to connect to the train to Central Amsterdam.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I was granted a room upgrade when I checked in. The hotel facilities were nice ans the staff attentive to customers' needs. Will defimitely stay there again the next time I fly through Amsterdam
