Overall the hotel itself was good. I gave 4 stars due to 2 main reasons: 1) Restaurant/bar closed before 11pm and 2) the rubber mat in front of the door is incredibly unsafe. I almost tripped on the way in and then my luggage got stuck on the way out and I DID fall and broke a rib...

Easy walk to Muiderpoort station with quick access to central Amsterdam and other cities, though there are good bars and restaurants nearby. Cool old building, rooms were more spacious that most in Amsterdam, and it was very clean.

This was a nice property just a train or tram ride away the Central Station. Everyone was very friendly there. They have working elevators (we heard some places in Amsterdam do not). The room was a very good size.

All the hotel staff who helped me were very kind and helpful. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I asked for bottled water in addition to the little ones available in the room and they promptly got it for me, also I am not used to November's average temperature of Amsterdam and the staff provided me with a space-heater as soon as I mentioned that I was feeling a bit cold and wanted to warm up the bathroom to take a comfortable shower. The environment in the hotel areas feel very comfortable and it is located in a very nice and convenient area. I surely would stay in this hotel again if visiting in the future.

A wonderful stopover
Our favorite hotel in Europe. Great rail and Tram connections just outside front door. Convenient food and market places nearby. Fine breakfast and THE MOST COMFY BEDS and PILLOWS ANYWHERE.

We booked a King room and were upgraded to a junior suite on the ground floor. The room was really nice thought not quite as private as desired (being on the ground floor with low windows). The surrounding area had lots of restaurants, shops and amenities. The staff were professional and straight talking, but that is the Dutch way! This is our second time at the Manor Amsterdam and we wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend

We stayed at the same hotel in 2017 during the Amsterdam marathon week. The property was in a better condition at that time. It’s still good but everything seems to have deteriorated over these years

Hotel was well placed. Rooms weren’t clean enough. And ours wasn’t serviced the last day we stayed so got home to a dirty room. Aircon ventilation system wasn’t working. Was given a fan lol. Anyways staff were helpful and pleasant. Hotel just needs better cleaning

Because our hotel is located in a monumental building we are unfortunately not allowed by the government to make great evasive changes such as installing a central air-conditioning system. What we do have is a climate control system which circulates and cools the air from outside on a fixed temperature. The photo from outside hotel is wrong as this is not the view of hotel from the street. The restaurant opening hours are incorrect and it’s closed Monday and Tuesday. Total lack of customer service at check in / out and no room service makes this a two star hotel at best

Pros: The staff was exceptional and everyone was very friendly and helpful. One guy literally walked us to the train station to make sure we knew how to get back to the airport! Truly above & beyond his duty. Breakfast was good; the room is large with different decor although ours had a weird headboard of butt naked people in a garage (a famous photographer who uses naked bodies as his subject matter), the lobby smelled so nice and everything was nice and clean throughout the hotel. Cons: The location was too far from all the action of the city but it is on a tram line to get you there but you have to transfer to another tram. There are no good restaurants or shopping within walking distance; the bathtub is too high for shorter people. It's hard to climb into and it's a slip hazard when there is soap in the tub. The design of the shower door (a half door) tends to leak water onto the floor when showering. The TV would half way work (although we didn't come to watch tv), staff should let people know that lights won't work unless you have the key card in the slot. We were not aware of that on the first night. All electricity goes off except for the tv and the refrigerator so my phone didn't charge and husband had to use cell phone light to see how to get to restroom.

Excellent location for a traveler not wanting to be in the middle of downtown. Mediocre restaurants in local vicitiny. Easy tram or trani access to airport and downtown. Hotel with large comfortable rooms. It was difficult to cool the room. Daily cleaning service was not fully reliablel.

Good and clean hotel very close to a park. We stayed two nights. There is not much dining options close by. Pop-up restaurant of the hotel was awful. There is a park near by but a lot of drug dealers are stationed inside the park. Also locals are using hard drugs and we didn't feel our selves safe.

Wonderful room and very friendly staff. Location is decent, altough it was a ~30 min walk from the city centre there was a train station very close and a tramline right outside the hotel.

Very comfortable
Excellent room, very good food close to large park. On the downside it was a mile or two from centre of city, although trams were frequent. Breakfast was expensive for four adults so we ate elsewhere.

Sizable hotel in east Amsterdam near Amsterdam Muiderpoort station and on tramline. So handy for Science Park and easy to get to centre. Good size rooms. Bar only had Heineken on draft but had a very good Dutch IPA from Lowlands.

Very positive.
Wonderful room. Great location. Superb restaurant. I just found great variability in service. Some were reluctant to be helpful. I felt they could benefit from some customer service training.
