Basic flop house

Posted Nov 7, 2014
Pros: The front desk personnel.
Cons: see above
Location: There was so much to do such as parks, museums, shopping and restaurants. Great location that is quiet.
This was listed as a boutique hotel and if boutique means bare bones, this is it. aBasic room perfect if you have been out all night at the coffee shops. There is a bed and table and a lamp. Period. The mattresses were troughs forcing you to roll to the middle. The heat was broken in one of our rooms for two days and no one was rushing to fix it. There is no ability to make phone calls to other rooms or anywhere local. There was no ability to make tea or coffee in your room so after 10 AM you are out of luck. The ice machine was "broken" so we could not have ice for 5 days. The breakfast that comes with the room was pathetic. I actually watched the breakfast attendant snap at a guy with 3 pieces of bread in his hand "the bread is only for breakfast"! as if he was hoarding it. The flaccid meat, warm cheese and stale bread was hardly worth risking your life down the narrow steps to the basement. The coffee and tea was the only thing worth consuming. This is the only hotel on this street not offering bikes for guests use. For two nights people came home yelling and drunk at 3 am. The upside was that the front desk personnel was kind and helpful with activities and maps to help you find your way around and with public transportation. This place has potential to be really cool, but boutique it is not.

Eenvoudig hotel op een prettige lokatie .

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Goede lokatie.

Interesting small hotel on the edge of town. Very

Small clean room. No aircon or control over heating. With window open (end of september) it was still too hot and steet was nosiy. Not good value for money. Hidden costs. No tea or coffee in room. Brekfast was pretty good. Its in museum district. Short tram to centre or walkable.

quiet location

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: as above,shelving,breakfast room
Location: near rijksmuseum and tram stop.easy walking to central shopping areas etc.
Overall good hotel in quiet location.Recently updated inside, however seem to have forgotten to put any shelving in bathroom. Good quality breakfast but size of breakfast room too small to accommodate even half guests at one sitting.

Excellent location

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: -this small hotel has an excellent location, in the museum quartier, just about 5 minutes from the Rijksmuseum, van Gogh museum, Vondelpark etc., tram stop very close as well so is the bus stop where you get off the bus when you're coming from Schipol airport. - if you have the breakfast included you can have a fine start of the day. True, it gets a bit repetitive after a while but if you stay for no longer than a week, it should be good - hotel staff was polite, quick check in Cons: -the cleaning of the room was poor, floor dirty, beds didn't look too clean Summary: if want a good stay while in Amsterdam, with a great location, and your budget is low, this is your hotel! :) I guess you get what you pay for, it's not a 5*, but I would recommend it.

Great location, rooms basic!

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: The rooms... Need a reprint and air con!
The location is great, so close to tram lines but unfortunately the rooms are a let down. Scuff marks over all the walls, very small and in desperate need of air con. Slept very badly due to the room being so stuffy, with the window open its very noisy but had no choice. Spent as little time in the room as possible because of this.

Fint område

Bra hotell i lugnt område, men väldigt tunna väggar mellan rummen.
