“Hotel Terminus”

What a great hotel! It's located in the best part of town, and is footsteps away from one of the best "coffeshops" in Amsterdam - The Grasshopper. Staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. My room was clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. I will now stay here everytime I'm in Amsterdam. The rates at this hotel are very reasonable compared to the rest of the city.

Great location near to the station. The staff were always ready to help. Our room was right at the front and was large, very comfortable and very clean. I would definately stay there again.

“Close to Zurich Airport”

Moevenpick is a chain of business class hotels. This one was very new, big modern room. Bus runs to the airport (only 5 minutes away)about every 20 minutes all day.

Stayed here wth my girfriend, couldnt have no complaints, centrally located so makes a great base. The staff spoke good english and were helpful, rooms are warm and clean. Hotel bar has a happy hour at tea time with good priced drinks. There was no noise or trouble staying here, Will be staying again.....

“Great Hotel for the money!”

This was definitely better than most the hotels I have stayed at in Amsterdam (and Europe in general). It was in a perfect location, walking distance to the city center, food and entertainment. The beds were extremely soft and comfy!!!! The room was pretty BIG and spacious (unlike the typical Dutch hotel that are extremely narrow and small). The room had a flat screen TV with American channels and a coffee maker with delicious coffee. The bathroom was big and clean. We did not get to taste the breakfast, since we had to leave extremely early for the airport. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam. Great value for the money!!

“Great location for exploring Amsterdam”

I've stayed in several hotels in Amsterdam and was more than happy to return here. It is very very well located, an easy 5 minutes walk from the central train station and lies just on the edge of the red light district, on a relatively quiet street compared to the hustle elsewhere. Shops, bars and restaurants are all in abundance. The rooms I have stayed in have been larger than normal for Amsterdam, adequate but certainly not luxurious. Beds were a bit too soft for my liking. Room included TV with internet/movies, but no coffee making facilities. Competent, friendly staff. Dependent on the room you get, the "bells" from the local church may be a problem if we're planning in staying in your room all day long. Contrary to other exaggerated reports on this site, they actually only chime (for 20 seconds or so) every half hour from 8am to 11pm. The hotel does supply earplugs for light sleepers, though personally I've never found them necessary.

“Clean, modern, and close to everything!”

I have just returned from a 2-night stay at this hotel for my stag weekend (mid week) Having not travelled to Amsterdam before I was unsure what this hotel was going to be like. There were a total of 7 males in my party; we had 2 twin rooms and one twin with a sofa bed. All of us slept very well. Rooms are clean and modern, on par if not better than most motels in the UK. This hotel is situated about 5 min walk from the train station and the same to the red light district. Staff at the hotel was very helpful and friendly, and all knew what they were doing. If you looking for a clean, modern hotel to stay in while visiting the City then this is the one for you. The only thing I can think of that was a pain was the local church which chimed every 15 mins, but that was reduced to every hour during the night, after the amount of beer we had drank it didnt keep us awake! I would say this hotel is fine for everyone unless you have problems with stairs. There are lifts, but each floor has some more steps, which could be a problem. Im already looking to book my stay there for next year.

Great location, 2 mins walk from Dam Square, 10 mins walk from the Leidsplein and right in the heart of the red light district if your like that kind of thing. However please note this is not a seedy hotel. Great hotel for the price, clean general areas, clean bedrooms and bathrooms. I couldn't ask for more.
