“Van der Valk = TWO THUMBS UP!”

Couldn't have asked for a better experience! From the moment I stepped in the door, the staff was friendly and accommodating. I loved the room, and especially the comfortable bed, balcony, high wood grained ceilings (very unique), and the giant flat screen television. The convenience of the various dining options within walking distance was a plus. As I went down to the lobby in the evening to head out for my dinner, the beautiful sounds of a gentleman playing piano was both soothing and sophisticated. Top quality at a very affordable price. It was my first stay in the area, and will not be my last at the Van der Valk. Highly recommended.

“a Great hotel for everyone”

Really I went with my family 4 adults and 1 kid, there are an excellent idea to take this hotel, great connection with the airport, excellent and more big rooms for all, a lot of espacies into the room. The service are great. I recommend to everyone to go to Amsterdam and don't going to the center. It´s a excellent election this hotel. Gabriel

“Very Nice Hotel”

The only thing that sucks about this place is the last shuttle runs around 11 at night, so its basically impossible if you wanna stay out late.. unless you wanna spend all your money on a cab. The hotel is gorgeous though and has a very friendly staff. I would stay here again if it were closer to the city.

“very nice hotel”

very nice hotel with very nice breakfast It does take a while to get downtown as you need to take their shuttle to the airport and then catch the train downtown. If you want to stay out late this is bad as the last shuttle goes at 11:40. The other choice is to take a cab from downtown but that runs about 50 euros.

“Convenience”

Free Shuttle Bus to and from the airport every 40 minutes from dawn to almost midnight is a great convenience, connecting to a great, inexpensive, underground railroad system to "everywhere". Also a variety of restaurants across the parking lot are great.

“Perfect Airport Hotel”

My family of four found the spacious room a welcomed relief after spending 2 weeks in serveral standard size rooms. The hotel restaurant was also very good with a couple of fast food options near by. Hotel staff very friendly!

“Great hotel”

The room was spacious and comfortable with all of the amenities. The hotel was large and clean, perfect for an overnight stay. The bathroom was also large and clean. I greatly appreciated the free shuttle bus service from the hotel to the airport.

“Great for those to poor to stay in Amsterdam”

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend of sight seeing. There were only a few vacancies for the hotels in Amsterdam, and the prices were easily double what this hotel was. The benefits of this hotel were the lesser price, free parking, and the free shuttle to Schipol airport. The shuttle to the airport links you with the train station where you can buy a round trip train ticket to Central Station Amsterdam for around 13 euros. The train ride takes approx 20 min, and the shuttle to the airport was about 15 min. So in around 40 min you are at central station ready to start your day of sightseeing. You can also catch a train to the Hague from the airport. Across the parking lot there is a rest stop with several dining options, including Kentucky Fried Chicken, Burger King, and El Ranch (a steakhouse). I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to save some cash and doesn't mind starting their day a little earlier.
