Fantastic hotel!Posted Oct 29, 2013
Great staff, all very friendly and helpful. Bus runs from outside the hotel into the centre every 10 minutes. Good in the restaurant was very nice (except the omelette at breakfast). Well worth the money.

3 Days in AmsterdamPosted Oct 16, 2013
My wife and I stayed in Amsterdam for three days. The hotel was good value, very comfortable. The only compromise is location but bikes can be rented from the hotel for 16 euros a day.

Excellent as everPosted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
I have stayed at the Westcord Art numerous times over the years and I can say that it is one of the best hotels I have stayed in, in Amsterdam, and I have stayed in a few! Yes the hotel is 10 mins out of the city centre but there is a bus stop outside - the number 48 goes from Central Station to Sloterdjik Station every 10 mins which means that it is easily accessible and you can get the train direct from the aiirport direct to Sloterdjik Station which cuts out the madness of Central Station - you can leave your luggage at the hotel even if the room isn't ready/you have checked out. The rooms are larger than the Amsterdam norm and have very comfy beds. The 4* rooms are large with stylish bathrooms. All are spotlessly clean. the staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are excellent - buffet style with everything you could ask for 1st thing. Give it a go - you shouldn't be disappoinyed!

Art gallery- hotel comboPosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
nice hotel to stay, 20 min from airport with shuttle bus available, 15 min to downtown. Bus is very accessible every 15 minutes. Art gallery in the hotel. Outdoor pool is a bit far from the hotel but nice. Restaurant is very expensive. I don't mind staying here again should I go back to Amsterdam.

Will definitely stay at this hotel again!Posted Jul 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great rooms, very clean, modern and the hotel has great design. It is about 10mins by bus to the centre and the bus leaves from right out the front of the hotel. It took about 25 mins tp walk and was a nice walk too. Staff are all really friendly and helpful! They gave great recommendations and can book tours etc. There is a bar and restaurant underneath the hotel with great food and service! Highly recommend this hotel ans when I return to Amsterdam I will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Good deal!Posted Jul 16, 2013
I was there for a festival in Amsterdam in west park and location and price was very convenient, plus we were able to get to the center of the city on a short walk.

Hotel right by bus stop and then about a 7 minute ride to Central Station. Staff very helpful. Will stay again on our next trip to Amsterdam.

Good for 3 starPosted Jun 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Reception was friendly and accommodating as I requested a quiet room and was allocated one on arrival on the 7th floor on the rear of the building overlooking the neighbouring municipal swimming pool. Public areas are airy and modern with bar and dining room off main central area. I found the barman Christian quite a character, and his easy customer care approach friendly. The bedroom was a reasonable size, disappointingly with two twin beds pushed together to form a double. This is quite common in the Netherlands, so if you require a double bed, they are available on request, but only on one floor of the hotel. The room was equipped with a large and modern TV, phone, tea and coffee facilities and surprisingly, a mini bar. The bathroom was adequate with a shower, hand basin and WC and good lighting and a contemporary feel. Housekeeping was of a high standard and the room was well serviced each day. I personally found the single bed OK but would have preferred a double had a known to request one. I didn’t dine at the Art hotel but did take the ‘light’ breakfast on the terrace which at 8.50 Euro is much better value than the 18 euro standard breakfast. You need to ask for the alternative breakfast menus as they don’t promote it... wonder why? Car parking is costly at 15 euro per day but typical in Amsterdam. Overall, good value for the 240 pounds for four nights but watch out, the city tax is extra.

Entirely satisfactory stayPosted May 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is an excellent no frills hotel. Very good value for money. Exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff. We didn't bother with the buffet breakfast as it is very expensive as everyone says. However, the little cafe in the foyer is a good, much cheaper alternative or there is the supermarket down the road. Also, we had a fabulous breakfast at the Bagels and Beans cafe a little further down the road to the supermarket. The location suited us because it was near to the workshop venue we were attending and an easy trip to and from the airport. Otherwise, it's a short and easy bus ride into town, It ticked all the boxes for us and so no complaints at all.
