Good resting point in PalmerPosted Aug 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very quiet location. Pretty, well maintained gardens. Great view of glacier in the distance. Comfortable cabin, although in need of some touch ups.

Wonderful place to stay!Posted Jun 27, 2013
Pros: The cottage!
Location: Drive 100 miles east to the Matanuska Glacier. For a reasonable fee, you can walk on it!
We stayed at the Alaska Garden Gate B&B for three days earlier in the month, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Karen, the owner, is very personable and helpful. The cottage we stayed in had a small kitchenette and sitting area with a separate bedroom. The bathroom, with its large jacuzzi tub, was beautiful. Its location offered the opportunity to head east and see some wonderful sites. We highly recommend Alaska Garden Gate B&B and would definitely stay there again.

Nice Cottages for Our TripPosted Jun 24, 2013
Pros: It was cozy, enough space for 2 people, and provided privacy from other visitors.
Cons: The breakfast choices could be improved. Being provided bottled water would have been nice.
Location: There are some nice restaurants downtown.
We enjoyed our stay here for part of our honeymoon. It was great to have privacy and enough space from each other. We could have used blackout curtains in the bedroom. We didn't have eye covers so we were a little let down. It was very cookie-cutter with the decor and outside appearance but I knew that when looking at this location in the first place. It was very well taken care of.

Nice place!Posted Jun 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very cute, clean unit! Wish we could have stayed longer as we didn't have time to check out the area. Breakfast was awesome! Just gave it a 4 on location because it didn't seem to be within walking distance of shops, restaurants.

Hospitality at its finestPosted Apr 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed in multiple venues while in AK for 11 days and this place, by far, had the nicest customer service and hospitality. Breakfast in the fridge, ready to go, made the morning quiet and not rushed. When we come back to AK and find ourselves near Palmer, we will definitely come back to the Alaskan Garden Gate B & B. This was a great stay. The Alaska Garden Gate B&B is a great place to stay and when the weather wasnt great in Anchorage they provided me with great other solutions that worked out perfectly (to get out of the valley / go to a glacier and more). It was a very nice room and great for the price.
