Nice spot close to Palmer, close to Wasilla

Posted Oct 10, 2014
Cons: I was there in early October...starting to get cold so I think the spiders were coming inside where it was warm. May want to spray perimeter.
I had a room in the main house. It was a nice size and clean.

Response by Karen, owner: Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review! You're right, the critters around our property, located out in the country, try to come in when we start to freeze at night! We try to keep ahead of them, but at your suggestion we'll give your door area a little more spray. Thanks for staying with us!

Response by: Karen, owner: I really enjoyed getting to know you! It’s too bad other parts of your Alaska vacation didn’t work out as anticipated, but I’m thankful that you found us and could spend several days in our area, getting to experience our glaciers, mountains and wildlife in your sightseeing. It warms my heart to share our beautiful Alaska with visitors like this special couple from Egypt!

Nice Cottages!

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Beautiful Views
Location: Located between Palmer and Wasilla.
We stayed 2 nights. The hostess was very nice and knowledgeable of the area. The luxury cottage was much needed after a 3 hr. hike on a glacier.

Response by Karen, owner: I’m glad the over-sized Jacuzzi in the Luxury Cottage was just right to warm you and soak your tired muscles after a glacier hike! It was nice to meet you and host your stay. Thanks for leaving a review!

Response by Karen, owner: It’s our pleasure to make a welcoming, cozy place to stay for you! I agree, the pullout couches are ok for small kids…I would have recommended one of our different guest apartments with different bed configurations that would have suited the four of you better, but unfortunately we were full except for the cottage you got. I appreciate you sharing your feedback with future guests!

Lovely view of the mountains!

Posted Sep 1, 2014
We stayed one night, got in really late and left pretty early. The cottage was very clean and ready for us to sleep. They had even pulled out and made up the hide-a-bed so we wouldn't have to do that after getting in so late. The hide-a-bed was a bit uncomfortable, but te main bed was really nice. Thy had breakfast in the fridge, muffins, bananas, yogurt, juice and they even made omlettes too! Overall we had an excellent stay!

Great B&B around Palmer Alaska

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Cozy, clean, and in a great condition
Cons: Nothing
Location: Good location if you want explore Mat-su valley
My husband and I stayed there for two nights. We loved it. It a small suite, including a small bedroom with a queen bed and a closet, a decent size bathroom, and living room with a small kitchen. The place is decorated with flowers around house, very welcoming, very clean. We felt very cozy and relaxing. Breakfast is placed in the fridge very day, you may heat it up yourself. You can hear the traffic from the highway, but it's not that bad. We did have a little trouble to find it. With assistance from staff on the phone, we got there quickly. Just do a little homework before you get there, don't totally rely on your GPS.

Lovely family setting close to Anchorage

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: A gracious hostess who thought of everything to make our stay a delight.
Cons: signage, which is NOT the proprietress's fault.
Location: Anchorage is about an hour away. The Matanuska-Sutsitna (Mat-Su) valley is known for its wildlife, agriculture, and scenic beauty.
Our room was spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The owner was there to welcome us on our arrival and our home cooked, next-morning breakfast was waiting for us in the room.

We place the breakfast baskets in your refrigerator so you can eat at whatever time you like. It just takes a minute in your microwave to heat up the quiche or omelets we make for you! It will be even easier soon—Coming this fall, we will open our newly built Breakfast Hall, where guests can come to meet and mingle with other travelers and enjoy a bountiful hot buffet that we cook for you!

wonderful!

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: location, cleanliness
Cons: could use more breakfast.. or a central location to get your own breakfast as opposed to storing it in the firdge
spotlessly clean, comfortable b&b in a beautiful location! the only reason i took off one star is for breakfast - we essentially got one omlette and a slice of banana bread for 2 adults.. it was really good but a bit less for 2 adults.
